There are a lot of beautiful watches out there. But this one is still my favorite. I’m a big fan of the Daytona line but the PM variants add just that little something extra.

Congrats on adding the RG to your lineup.

Zenith options are better IMO but Daytonas are for sure cool.

Your three are def a dream collection as far as Rolex watches are concerned.

Congrats on the addition. Beautiful set!

...

hehe, but I would respectfully disagree. There are better watches, but mainly for me... doesn't makes sense to have 3 of the exact same watch regardless of material.

I'd love to see some detailed side-by-side photos of the 321 and your black SS daytona! Worthy of a new thread all it's own! Two great watches, entirely different and so often compared.

To everyone that took the title question seriously yes I know there are better watches. I just love chronos. Not just Daytonas.

Peace everyone.

I don’t find a chronograph function being much use. A date would be better. A rotating bezel would be more useful too. But at the end, we collect watches for different reasons and that’s completely cool. What matters is what the watch is worth to you, and not to others.

Prices they are trading at 100% insane.

For me I love chronos I’ve posted a pic of all my other ones. I guess that’s what i like.

The thing is I don’t have big wrists almost no one can make an auto chrono under 40mm 12mm thick. This movement is legitimately one of the best ever.

And 100% agree with your last line. Cheers

I wish Rolex had not decided to put a big fat black ceramic bezels on the current SS models and oyster rubber straps on some of the PM models...but I am a fan of almost all the rest.

This Ed white 321 really is the best steel sports Chronograph you can buy. It’s unbelievable how good it is in its modern recreation.

Technically the patek jumping minute in house Chronograph CH 29-535 PS is the best Chronograph movement I’ve experienced in the 5170

I can’t believe how good this Ed white is. Still waiting for mine

Look I have one. I don’t think it’s the best you can buy. It’s a tad thick. Beautiful though

Today hype sells watches so Daytona fever is strong for those willing to pay IMHO crazy retail and grey prices.
I agree with you Padi. The zenith has a sublime minimalist dial layout. While I have the ceramics, If I had to choose it would be the Zenith

OP - the Daytona is my first and truly only Rolex love affair. I have others, but for me it is the epitome Rolex.

I love the Daytona and I love that Rose gold version you have.
I've owned 7 Daytonas over the years and still have 5 , it's my favorite Rolex
