I do not know the English word in German we say something like this is a "Pfusch" when something is assembled with different parts which do not fit.

The English “word” you are looking for is “Frankensteined.” :)

Don’t give up on a vintage DD, but just as others have said, purchase from a trusted dealer who specializes in vintage. The vintage world is crazy in terms of details you need to be aware of. It’s a whole different ballgame. Post photos here on the forum before you make a vintage purchase to get some feedback as you have a ton of experts at your disposal.

I would personally return it, but only because I would not want to live with all the concerns you are having given you spent 5 figures. For that much hard-earned money you want to be confident and 100% satisfied in what you purchased. Why settle when there are plenty of examples out there to choose from, with potentially more to come! Just my humble $.02.
