I also doubt we'll see anyone do the Tiger Slam or Grand Slam again in our lifetimes as well.

I agree. The young talent is just too good now. We have a few top ranked amateurs at my club playing at d1 schools. They are essentially nobody’s right now that have +5 tournament handicaps. The young talent is absolutely insane.

Nobody is touching jacks record IMO, in our lifetime. If there was a jack, and a tiger, you would think logically there would be another. I thought it might be morikowa, but he’s already fallen behind the pace, which is insane.

When tiger had that stretch winning like 8 out of 11 tournaments and 6 in a row or something like that, it’s just lunacy to think about that happening now.

Not me. I think it's weak that some players are selling out for the money. I get it but the PGA and European Tours have provided players with fantastic opportunity to make a great living while giving fans a chance to see the best in the world go at it week after week.

I agree, but the pga tour isn’t doing these guys any favors. They don’t hand them huge signing bonuses like other sports teams. You get your card, and you are guaranteed nothing. You get $0. You don’t even get the option to play in the majority of the tour events. You can play in the off events during majors, and limited starts based on availability. So they don’t really do anything for the younger guys.

They do provide a great opportunity to make an awesome living if you play well. If you don’t play well in your first year, bye bye. Back to korn ferry if you played well enough on the pga tour, or potentially back to Q school. Q school with like 9 consecutive rounds of your life to get your card again.

Love the pga tour, don’t really care about the liv stuff either way. Their coverage isn’t good but guys should have an option to play where they want if they are independent contractors, which they are. Liv has really only taken a few guys at the top of their career. Phil, Kevin kna, pat Perez, these guys are at the end of the road. I can’t blame them for taking a huge payout.

There is a reason the pga tour is making some no cut events and pumping more cash in. Even though these guys make a crazy amount of money, it’s nothing like top athletes in other sports. And the woman, they basically play for peanuts. At the shop right lpga, the winner made 262k . Last place but making the cut was $3,300. You have to place in the top 25 just to cover expenses.

LPGA liv tour is coming, that’s my prediction. I wouldn’t be surprised if they take 50% of the LPGA tour immediately. These girls make garbage money winning tournaments at a professional level.

Never was a big Rory guy, but he seems to have matured a great deal in recent years.
I'll be rooting for him tomorrow.

With the length and precision these guys have it’s my opinion this course has become much to easy. 19 under at a major? Not supposed to be. Again JMO.

Very true Brian. I had a fair bet on mcilroy at 10/1 Pre tournament, but you are absolutely right. His putter went cold and he got done. Couldn’t buy a putt today, and I’m not sure playing with hovland helped.

Fair play to cam. He played brilliantly and to bounce back from a shocker yesterday, he fully deserved it.

The whole week has been terrific. I get people saying that 20 under shouldn’t win a major, but I’d rather see fair and exciting golf like that than 6 inch rough just off the short stuff and a winning score of 4 over.

Links courses in general rely on the wind being by the seaside - but they still provide a brilliant show even if it doesn’t turn up.

What a great tournament. If I were Cam I'd use some of that $2.5 million in prize money to visit a barber, but hey to each his own:) That guy is uber talented. 6 under, on the back nine, on Sunday, at The Open? Very well done Mr Smith.
