You mean WEIGHTLIFTING, not BODYBUILDING. You are obviously not a bodybuilder.

I wear my Garmin in the gym. Hate the thought of banging a nice watch, too much metal around.

This thread is ridiculous, but resonates with me lol. My first stop after work is the gym and I reluctantly leave my watch in the car. Hate doing it, but my Apple Watch is superior in the gym.

IMO, wearing a sub in the gym is an obvious flex...so if that's what you're after more power to you...

![]() I must say I can’t imagine doing any sort or press or heavy lift with a watch it it would certainly be a inconvenience. And I certainly wouldn’t be wanting to pause to take the watch off and adjust the glidelock. I think you aren’t training hard enough ![]() |

Lol well we are digressing here big time but I can't help myself and have to point out that OP said he was bodybuilding. Never called himself a "bodybuilder"... You just made my original point.

I wear my sub to the gym….just non on my wrist. Glidelock comes in handy for the extra girth needed in the locker room. Wetsuit fit is snug.

This thread is evidence this forum has reached maximum…something…
Listen I actually lift very heavy weight properly. I train with power lifters and bodybuilders. We cannot wear watches due to unknown wrist flex and general comfort. In addition we slap on pull straps and wrist wraps for heavy press and pull action. That’s not even accounting for liquid chalk. I’ll guarantee you right now you do not lift enough to be making a thread saying you’re a so called body builder who wears a metal watch to the gym. And people need to kill the “it’s a sports watch”. The truth is you just want to flex and wear a Rolex to the gym. Stop looking for excuses. It’s also FAR from the best body building watch. It does nothing besides tell the time. You can’t time splits, breaks, heart rate, calories, etc. so how in earth is it the “best body building watch”. Jeeeez man. |

Clearly, ball-busting and being annoying is my only contribution here ![]() ![]() Oh, and for the record, I consider bodybuilding workouts much more conducive to wearing a watch, given the focus on isolation exercises, often using machines, rarely requiring full range of motion. Powerlifting and weightlifting would be worse, with kettlebells being an instant disaster. |

Maybe someone laughs at me and says I have blue hair. My hair is not blue, but they point at me and laugh because they don't like blue hair. Again, I know my hair is not blue. You will be a better and stronger person when you realize what a person perceives about you does not matter. Screw what people think. The OP, you do you!

This is nothing more than someone wanting to wear a Rolex to the gym and posting about it online. It’s not some type of moral victory for anyone lol |
