They are both nice, but can we get back to talking about stickers?

Daytona, stainless steel can't compete with white gold.

Insane that this is even a contest. Daytona by a mile over the DJ. At least its not a full Brandon DJ...

I don't know about the DJ, but I always find this Daytona unfortunately looks better in photos than actually in the metal.

I'm 57 and own a DJ, but I still prefer the Daytona. I love the oyster bracelet and I love the sporty look of the Daytona.

Ask a person who knows nothing of the brand, rarity, or price values: most people will say the DateJust looks better and is more elegant.

I voted DateJust.

+1.

Daytona looks cluttered, and I bet hardly anyone ever uses its stopwatch function. DJ wins.

The DJ in this particular config is hard to beat.
The Daytona needs ceramic bezel to pop up.

Of course I am serious. It’s a full WG Daytona versus a mostly steel entry-level Rolex. I’m shocked you would think I’m the one not being serious.

So... which one looks better

I would pick the Daytona because the DJ41 is too big for its design. However, I like the DJ36 better than those.

Is that supposed to mean it looks better? Your argument amounts to: more expensive and more hype = better looking. Obviously many disagree

The Daytona seats quite small on the wrist.

Daytona looks fantastic. A most beautiful choice. Unfortunately it would not last two weeks in the collection because they are difficult to tell the time on.
After having four of them, they just don’t make the cut.

But as far as Daytonas go the blue dial is particularly nice and the lack of different color subdials may actually improve legibility just enough to tolerate.

I love Daytonas & DJ’s….and I’d vote differently if it were a different daytona, but in this case I like the DJ.

Datejust 41 in my opinion! Simple, elegant, and a classic reference.

The big thing for me is the lack of a ceramic bezel. Any SS Daytona, Submariner, GMT BLNR/BLRO I bet would have a lead over the datejust here as far as looks go. I had this exact datejust configuration. I like the look of the 12 SubLV, SubLN and SubLN date, and the BLNR, especially on jubilee, better. I also like the white and black dial SS Daytona better. That all being said, this is my favorite datejust configuration, the blue dial is amazing, but I am just addicted to ceramic bezels I guess! I bet the Daytona moves to a ceramic bezel for their full PM next year, or soon.

No, it doesn’t. WG looks better (warmer) than steel imo. And a chrono looks better than a run of the mill 3 hand watch. The Daytona dial has a better color blue imo, along with a very cool pop of red on the dial.
