One way to look at it is by using the avg spot price of gold per OZ which is in the $1800 range. Multiply that by the weight (approx.8 oz) minus whatever the movement weighs , and you get about $14000 worth of the metal.

The other way to look at it is the exclusivity factor.

Either way, the buyer has to decide whether the PM is worth it to him/her.

I tend to agree with the post above. I’d put my money into a higher horological piece and keep my SS Rolex. YMMV
Amazing review and recommendations. Very helpful…I appreciate it!

:
Rolex uses 18ct rather than 24 so would round down to about $10k worth
that said I still love this model and on my grail list

I'd be patient, keep your two and add. Try to add an OF Daytona if SS is taking to long. Other TRF members have said 3 years before the hype. Now its a 6 year wait with good purchase history for a SS Daytona.

I definitely wouldn’t do this trade. Perhaps as a halfway, get an oyster bracelet for the BLNR as it has the PCL and black/blue contrast and see how that goes for now.

I think my bias is in having the GMT function - which I find useful.

I sold my hulk, BLNR, smurf, black sub, white dial Daytona to add the platinum Daytona and the 126619. I love the two pm pieces but plan to read the BLNR and the 126610 LV along with a white dial Daytona. Do I regret it, no but missed my BLNR and white face Daytona. Want to add the cermit. Love the newer version of the LV.

Thanks all - really appreciate the advice. It does seem that overwhelming the advice is to stay with the two I have. I am waiting to hear what the actual deal would be. I like the LB the most, it is PM, and if I can get the LB for next to no money, I think I would be crazy to pass it up. That all being said, I am sure I would have to come up with cash, and I could use that for a future Daytona. I have been thinking of buying the 124060 again as well. The Daytona OF is a good idea which someone mentioned. Anyways, appreciate all the advice, I will update once the decision is made.

Keep the 126610LV & 126710BLNR, and add the Daytona later........it gives you much more variety than just having to go for 126619LB alone

Thanks all for the advice…staying with the two that I have and will add on. As I wait for the Daytona, thinking about the 124060 or speedy. In no rush enjoying the two I have now. Thanks again!
