If you ask the general population, they would prefer and recognize a dj41 over any daytona. I personally covet the dd40 over the dj41 bc of better proportions, deconstructed roman dial options, and the presidential bracelet. Oh and PM is a bonus also

For many owning a DD is a display of status. It comes only in precious metals and is known as the most pretigious in Rolex's lineup. And it is very expensive.

However there are many MANY more Dajetjusts sold than DayDates so obviously they are in demand and are the best selling Rolex models ever made.

IF the Datejust came in yellow gold (like it once did) I would have bought it. I bought the DD 36 in YG & love it!

The proportions of the DD40 and DJ41 are pretty much the exact same. The DJ41 is 39.5mm and the DD40 is the same.

To those stating the DJ41 sells a lot more, Rolex makes a lot more. The ridiculously long wait times for the professional models says it all.
