I might be the only one that wants to hear the arguments FOR this outlook... it does have some merit.

I guess if a person could defy logic enough you could question what pain and suffering really is.

“Your Honor, it’s just like being on a roller coaster…it’s fun”

Could be a tough sell though. I think most people’s worst nightmare is falling out of the sky.

Boeing is the textbook failure of what happens when an engineering company is taken over by the accountants, and they killed a lot of flyers as a result.

And the corporate strategy of outsourcing liability.

Wow. Just goes to show you can try to sell people anything.
No, the only thing it goes to show is there are people out there willing to try anything.

Just makes me glad I’m not a lawyer, or at least one that would try what they did. I’m sure there are some lawyers that have ethics, but not this firm. I simply couldn’t look myself in a mirror doing so. Boeing signed off on this as well. God this makes me sick.

Seems Perry Mason would kick this attorney in balls, ask him if he had any pain and suffering then stab him dead in heart to prove that there can be pain and suffering prior to instant death.

That is a cold argument. I could see that backfiring bigtime.

Well you could say that about anything… Can’t discuss covid, too many people died. Can’t discuss wars, too many people died.

Are they arguing this to a jury? Sounds like a one-way ticket to a giant plaintiffs verdict.

Someone mistakenly left the cages open in the Reptile House at the zoo, and snakes were slithering all over the place. Frantically, the keeper tried everything but couldn’t get the slippery animals back into their cages. Finally, he yelled, “Quick, call a lawyer!” “A lawyer? Why?” “We need someone who speaks their language.”

one can argue that facing death is actually exhilarating... that would be my personal view and the perspective I am coming from.

For sure, Adrenalin is cascading thru the human body at that point.

I think peoples perceptions of horror are different in the real world compared to a recreational experience. I have been at the wrong end of an artillery barrage in a combat zone and I would not describe it as exhilarating or enjoyable. I doubt these poor souls nose diving into the sea felt it was fun either.
