He had his waiter come and ask me over to his table, when I got there he asked the server to "Bring this young man a chair" introduced himself and I laughed and said I know who you are! He said well you are at an advantage young man, please introduce yourself to us which I knew how to properly do thanks to a proper upbringing. He ordered me a Shirley Temple as his son loved them when he was my age. After I listened to him and his friends tell stories of growing up and racing I returned to my parents table. My Stewart came to our table later in the evening thanking my parents for letting me join them and apologizing for keeping me so long. When my father asked for the bill later we were told Mr. Stewart took care of it. That made a huge impression on me at a young age in how to treat children and people in general.

BTW I still remember to this day he was wearing a TT Rolex Datejust that evening.

I met his son Paul in Switzerland about a year ago and he was wearing a new Daytona.

What a great story!

Did it get dusty in here all of a sudden????

I’m referencing a Rolex (best watches) Ambassador not Rolex owners.

We met Sir Jackie at a Rolex event at Goodwood last year and he was absolutely delightful company for the day.

He’s an incredible ambassador for the brand.

Just looked up Rolex Ambassador and this guy popped up.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the Rolex cuff links on his shirt.

Here is the link to the article Chewy referenced if anyone wants a cool read. https://www.rolexmagazine.com/2008/0...ate-rolex.html

Why is he wearing a hyped Rolex Daytona? I would think it would be a GMT black or Submariner. More subdued and stealthy. Definitely should not wear a Batman or Sprite.

I was googling to see if Jackie Steward was gifted a King Midas. And this thread popped up in the search results. Haha.

Oh my, they're quite nice indeed! Can we buy those????? I have a Rolex gold 'Pledge Pin'....

...which also doubles as a tie thingy.

Sir Jackie's belt ensemble looks quite nice. Anyone know who makes it? Looks like In Youth Services (IYS) gift or ????

If a normal person that wears a gold Daytona wears gold Rolex cuff links it’s too much right? As in I should not try to do it. Lol.

No. My advice would be, care less about what people think and do what makes you happy.

I had the privilege of having lunch with Sir Jackie Stewart a couple of years ago at the Australian GP, hosted by Rolex. He is a great ambassador for the brand and a brilliant host. Tells some great stories!

I'm a fan of matching accessories.

Next time you see a Ferrari, count the number of Prancing Horses on it. Looks carefully or you'll miss a few.
