I appreciate the responses. As the OP, I was genuinely curious. I'm just in a no date phase at the moment. I cycle through my humble collection enough to not want to be bothered with setting the date, and I cannot wear a watch without every complication set accurately.

I love the Sub, but I also love the LV bezel on the Sub Date. I also have a Pelagos LHD that is somewhat similar to the black Submariner in appearance. I may go with a Seamaster 300 heritage in blue for a no date, or just skip the diver all together and go with an AK or Exp I 40mm.

I just feel like I have a bit of a void in my collection by not having a Submariner of some sort.

If not for the obscenely inflated prices these days, I'd say to go for a blue Tudor Submariner. Maybe there are still deals to be found though and it's just the online resale market that's inflated because of catering to "enthusiasts".
