I'm not a big fan of the Tudor chronos in general. They are too blocky and I find the screw down pushers a PITA to operate. On top of that the white dial has real legibility issues due both to the all-white dial and the snowflake hour hand interfering with the subdials. That having been said, I used to own the same 300M as you and grew more and more annoyed with the skeleton hands until I finally moved it along.

I like the suggestion to look at the new Tudor opaline dial GMT. I think that's a good approach.

I've got a Omega 300M and a Tudor LHD Pelagos. I love both, and both are really fine watches, but the 300M wins every time. Feels and looks way more refined to me.

Those LHD’s are definitely nice. Looks like it’s unanimous and 300m is a better watch. It’s just I want to downsize and try a Tudor. 300m just doesn’t sing to me anymore.

Don't trade. The Omega is a better watch.

If your 300m no longer sings to you then go for it.

I’ve had my P39 for three months and it’s a brilliant daily driver - watch dimensions & weight are key considerations for me that make it so. Weight in particular - as I get older I don’t like the feeling of heft on my wrist that comes with a stainless steel bruiser. Thats what you get with the 300M so I understand your desire to downsize.

I have very little interest in Omega offerings - just don’t do it for me. Others love them but I just don’t see the appeal.

Different strokes for different folks……..

I'd never trade an Omega for any Tudor.

I'd make the trade for the Heritage Chrono. The BB chrono is nice but underwhelming, easily trumped by Pelagos in my book.

Then the Tudor Pelagos 39 is the right watch for you.

There’s NFW I’d trade my SMP300 for a P39.
Has a pretty good clasp but other than that, G2 TI scratches when you fasten car seatbelt or brush your teeth. Also needs a date function.

I actually enjoy the heft of the SS SMP.
The most accurate and reliable of my watches.

Dumping/trading in the 300m for a bluesy soon. Wish me luck. This hobby is a money pit :)

I own both tudors, and I can’t say I’d trade a SMP for either. If I had to choose one it would be the p39 as the chrono, while a great looking piece, is very heavy/ blocky on the wrist.

This is a downgrade if you trade it for the P39. It's an upgrade for the Tudor Chrono.

Pelagos 39 is superior. Its the Submariner we wished Rolex made (but in titanium).

No. I would not trade a white SM300 + cash for a Chrono or white GMT.

I'd stick with the Omega and try to plan to add a Tudor.

I would not trade the Omega for the Tudor. I had a BB and it was too thick and top heavy, so I ended up selling it after several months. The chrono is even thicker. I think they are great watches for the money and they look amazing. I just wish they’d find a way to slim down the case.
