Treat your AD with respect and be patient, one day you just might be rewarded with your grail watch. This watch will be in my collection forever.

Happy Memorial Day weekend!
Congratulations, but this just shows how back to front this whole 'relationship' thing can be with Rolex.

'Bought a few PM pieces' to obtain a 'grail' stainless steel piece? Really? Strange old place to be when you need to spend £/$100k+ on precious metal to be given the opportunity to spend £/$13k+ on a steel piece.

If none of the PM watches were your 'grail', then wouldn't it have been cheaper and easier and may I add quicker, to pay the grey market value for your grail Panda Daytona in 2019, when you started?

Don't mean to rain on your parade, congratulations if you are happy with this outcome and I'm sure you will love the new watch.

Congratulations. I am waiting as well and would love to have one (white or black), but I'm sure not counting on it, even in the next four years. It would be cool if I did get a call.

Did you ask for the new version? Or did they mention when that might be available. It’s interesting to note that most folks on the forums “getting the call” are for the older model.

I do congratulate you but sorry can’t agree with treating your AD with ‘respect’.
For that to happen I would need to feel they treat me with respect but my experience has been the exact opposite, I won’t play their games any longer, but pre owned whatever I like exactly when I like!

I don’t think is was all patience and respect if you purchased a few precious metal watches. Just sayin.
Haha …this

Don't forget the part about buying a "few" precious metal Rolex watches before hand.

Exactly !! lol

I have 3 really awesome AD’s .. originally 4, but unfortunately down to 3 now because one of them lost their dealership

Anyway, I’ve got precious metal watches in my collection .. matter of fact my favorite watch I own is my platinum fluted bezel daydate ! So strange to me that everyone seems to jump to conclusions that buying a PM Rolex is some sort of inconvenience..!?

The AD I got my 116500ln panda from is the AD/store I have the LEAST spend history with .. from them, in this order, I’ve been allocated a James Cameron - a 116519ln (white gold oyster flex Daytona with the steel/grey dial black subdials) — next I got a 126610ln sub41 — and then lastly from them I’ve gotten my 116500ln Daytona white dial !! Other than those watches I’ve spent maybe 5ish thousand on pens and little jewelry items for my wife (pens for me I’m a montblanc fanatic !!)

But anyway my point is I’ve loved every purchase I’ve made from them.. and I love my solid gold and platinum pieces I’ve bought from my other AD’s! You can’t possibly expect to be sold a special/sought after stainless steel watch that everyone wants if you aren’t one of their better customers though I mean isn’t that just common sense? It may seem unfair, but in the same respect it would be unfair to the good customers to get skipped over …. There’s got to be some system and order to it, and I think mostly all ADs do as good of a job as they can given the circumstances

No one is crapping on OP, we simply see humour in him stating "Treat your AD with respect and be patient, one day you just might be rewarded with your grail watch."

But in reality the Daytona was allocated because he had purchased several high ticket items prior to it.

We all know that's how it works, that's all.

Its totally fair.. but all I am saying is I feel lucky because there are WAY more clients who spent more than me but still not able to get the call. I just never put too much pressure on my AD and was just simply buying the watches I like.

Anyway, thanks for all the comments!

Enjoy the watch!

Wonder how long Rolex can keep up the game with “buy these before this?
