This thread should explain why. Just look at the photos. The dials are absolutely spectacular. Unmatched.

It really is (IMO) spectacular. Just...magnificent.

However, in the metaverse of watches, full of mind boggling wonders, it's not really even in the top ten.

Lol, I don’t know how a WIS could dismiss a dial so easily. It’s one of the most important fractures of a watch.

Also, saying 20k for a dial is like a non-WIS asking why anyone would pay thousands to buy a Rolex to just tell time.

I think the secondary market for this gorgeous timepiece has came down a lot, it should be around low $50s.

I also own one and do not have any problem seeing the hands to tell time. Plenty of contrast on the outer hands.

Price on this is low now and if people want it they should buy it. This watch is weird, EVERYONE here loves it and says it’s a grail, out of this world etc. but even in the market peak mid 2022 or whatever this “only” got to 105ish. Hulk, Ss Pepsi / Mayer / Daytona meteorite etc all score higher levels on the mkt price / msrp metric. It doesn’t make much sense to me. We all says it’s tops but the market says otherwise I’d argue

It’s because it’s WG and has been available in the catalog for 4 years now compared to the 116xxx Daytona meteorite two year run. Look at the DD40 meteorites also, same thing happening there.

+1

Secondary pricing is crazy because of scarcity.

Well, that's because we are all experts at telling good watches from sh*t ones. The general public, not so much.

Daytona caveat: If it has the name "Daytona" on the dial, it's gonna be more.

Can we ask Rolex to swap out the meteorite for a black dial WG?
