I see the poll numbers are pretty much against.

That said, I'm actually not opposed to the trade itself, but I don't think the money is even close.

I'd trade the Daytona straight up for the WG sub and sell the LV on its own...and I would be horribly surprised if you didn't end up with significantly more cash in your pocket than 3-4k. Just my two cents.

Chances are good that you will come to regret your decision to part with your watches. It is unrealistic to think you will find a different AD that will sell them to you at retail. You know your AD will never sell you these watches again and frankly may never sell you another Rolex. It will be too expensive to purchase grey which means you will never own these models again.

I’m in the minority who don’t favour the Daytona… so I’d sell that and add sone cash for the LB.

The specific trade you mention is very much against you - so on those terms I’d pass.

I have a SS Daytona and a Hulk and BLRO plus a few other SS Rolex pieces. I like them but since getting my WG Sub, I seldom wear the others. The feeling of PM on your wrist is otherworldly. Good luck whichever way you go

The only way this deal would make practical sense would be selling the LVc and add cash for the LB. From the outside, all you’re doing is switching colors on the same watch. On the inside you know you are wearing white gold. The LB is not that hard to get of a model and doesn’t hold a premium in the grey market so even suggesting the white SS Daytona is in play is crazy talk. Unless you need money for a new kidney, the SS Daytona stays at the pinnacle of your collection regardless what you acquire down the road.
You will never get another ss Daytona from a AD and will pay up dearly on the grey to rectify a horrible sellers remorse.

It depends on what you like. To me PM wears much better than SS and of the three I would wear the WG Sub the most. If I were you, I would just trade the SS Sub plus cash for the WG Sub as it is too hard to get another Daytona white dial at retail.

Quite the overwhelming response to keep the 116500ln and the 126610lv.

It would be nice to have a PM model. Also the sub is a more visual appealing and simple watch to me.

Looks like I’ll hold for now.

I do agree letting go of the Daytona would be a regret.

Sadly it’s going to take a long time in my eyes (+1 year) to save and then add the 126619LB. :/

If you were ok spending more (I realize you indicated you’re not), I would keep the Daytona but sell the 126610LV and use the funds to put towards the 126619LB. Not a fan of the 126610LV…

If you love PM Sub more than SS Daytona + Sub LV, go for it but you should get more than 3-4k cash your way.

Secondary market price for WG Sub is less than msrp now.

Think I would get:

$28k for Daytona (2019 card)
$15k for LV Sub (2023 card)
$43k total

$36 - $38k for secondary market LB WG sub (without taxes)

$1,865 - $4,030 back after taxes on LB( 8.25%)
