Royal Oak 37mm Blue vs Grey

Good point.
If I was ever offered a Jumbo I’d have to say yes ….. so magnificent on wrist.
Owning a Grey 15550 gives me the option of adding a blue dial at a later date in a size that looks better on my wrist ( blue 15550 felt too small but jumbo felt perfect. )

Royal Oak 37mm Blue vs Grey

Interesting thread and I prefer the grey dial over the dark blue as I find that the darker dial makes the watch look too small. Based on this and given I already have a grey dial AP (Diver) I really fancy the light blue dial but believe this would be very hard to obtain.

Grey is the best imo. Very beautiful and sleek

I find the grey difficult to read and bought a white dial 15450. But between blue and grey I’d go blue for sure.

I have a rhodium dial 26315 APROC. It’s getting quite hard to read with my old man eyes, and the lume sucks.

I’d definitely prefer a higher contrast dial now, but you should go with what works for your style.

I have 37 15550st. it's a dark blue and looks black in most lighting. Not sure about 15450

I think I have settled on going white dial. Any major differences people like between the 15450 and 15550 if going white? Any specific reason the new one is definitely better?

Royal Oak 37mm Blue vs Grey

I personally always found the 15450 to wear too small.
My tastes changes and the redesign of the 15550 hit the sweet spot for me.
To my eye it wears a little larger visually , especially the grey dial when compared to the dark blue. Bracket thinner and tapers more…. Less text on dial opens it up more ( feels larger) and the Applied logo is well executed.
The silver dial will wear the largest IMO

The silver dial was only release for one year as the 15550 anniversary edition.

To my eyes the silver was always a light / bright dial under all different lighting conditions where as the grey gets bright / light under hard light and darker and more contrasty under indirect light.
The grey color really shots a lot based on room tone and environment

The grey gets washed out in direct sun but the silver is also pretty bright, hard to read in full sun IMO.

I chose the grey because I want to buy new from AP house and I preferred the 15550 to the 15450.
