My 126710 BLRO just started running slow in the past few months. I bought it new from my AD 4 years ago. Has kept with COSC standards since new. Just recently went from running -2 sec a day to -4 sec and now -12-13 sec a day. Figured it is still under 5 year warranty so I'll ask my AD to send it off to the RSC.

Doesn't this establish that watch winders DO wind watches? If by "fully stopped" you mean the power reserve was fully depleted when you put the watches on the winders, after 48 hours the watches had gained 30 and 31 hours of power reserve. If left on the winders for another 48 hours, presumably the watches would then have been fully wound. Do I misunderstand you?

Are you saying it lost 2 mins in 2 days? That does not sound right.

That would mean that the winders tested were causing the watches to lose 5 hours of power reserve per day, being on a winder.

So they would stop ticking after just a little over a week if not additionally wound manually. That makes zero sense.

It takes around 650 turns of the rotor each 24 hours to keep a 31xx movement at a static state of wind. According to Wolf's website, a non-adjustable winder does 900 turns per day, so in theory that would add a little more PR each day it's fitted on a winder.

On my own personal winder, I have kept my watch for months without it running out, it continuesly adds a little more power each day, ensuring it's always fully found.

Anything less would be an incredibly stupid programming of a watch-winder, which whole purpose is to keep the watch running indefinitely without having to wind it.

As I also said, each watch is different and it depends on the movement how many TPD (Turns per day) it needs to stay static. Omega as an example recommends 750. Some Patek's only 400. An SW-500 Chronograph needs 800.

So it depends entirely on the winder and movement inside, but I doubt most winders are operating at less than 700-900 tpd, unless there is a specific setting to set, which would then make it a user error.
Very well put

My Wolf winders are set for 650 revolutions per day. When I had them set at 450 or 550 a few of my watches began to slow a bit. I upped it to 650 Bidirectional a few years back and its been spot on. Daytona for sure needed 650. This is just my experience anyway for what it's worth.

I'm having the same problem with my Pepsi

Running like 10 second slow a day. Going to give it to RSC before the warranty is up.

It used to be my most accurate watch

I have a 226570 with the 3285 from 2021. It runs slow as well. Last month it was 5 seconds slow for the month! Wearing it 24 hours a day.

However, just recently I discovered that if I take it off at night and place it dial up it will gain what little time it lost back.

I will add that it's possible it is slightly magnetized. 32xx movements will run slow instead of fast when magnetized. Check it against a compass. If it is de- mag it and check it again. I have had to do this a few times with my 32xx DJ after it was exposed to 9500 gauss from a electro dynamometer testing engine torque at work.

Sounds weird I know, but test it. You may be surprised.

Oh, FWIW, my Pepsi of 2020 vintage is in this rotation from winder to wrist every week or two and doing fine.

My first BLRO had to go in for the same thing. Essentially it’s a bad lubricant that gunks up horribly and they have to basically power wash the movement at RSC. Send it in.
