Accuracy is pretty good. I've had my two since Tuesday and it's only fast by 2 seconds.

I guess enough time has gone by where the idiot who designed the 100 year logo had no clue.

I guess the way i rationalize it is that it points to the northwest (relative) when it's on my wrist.
Interesting that you feel so strongly about the corporate design. Unfortunately you are mistaken as if it is not pointed upwards it is pointed up and right (or forward, as in up and left, in the case of the port side of an aircraft). Unless the idiots screwed up all of Delta's liveries since the merger?

Half of them if you are looking at the right side of the aircraft.

One is for my nephew, who is about to graduate flight school and will become an airline pilot (hopefully for delta). The other is for me. I plan for it to be my daily work watch.

I just brought my new Pepsi to work and banged it up on the clasp. Thankfully I had protection film on it and there was no damage to the steel.

Pics? I have lots. The problem is that this site doesn't host photos. I might be able to post them on another forum I frequent and use links.... let me see what I can do.

Let's see if this works....

In the last photo, the Delta GMT is next to the Pepsi GMT II. The Tudor Delta Black Bay GMT is a much bigger watch. The case thickness is huge.

I thought that each Delta employee can only buy one watch?

Did you ask another colleague to buy the second watch on your behalf?

I don't know how many AD's are supplying Delta with these pieces, but I know my local Rolex AD is one of them, Richter & Phillips here in Cincinnati. Very neat

Richter filled the entire order, all 500 pieces. I got one myself.i like the watch but im having a hard time putting it on over my Rolexes. Not sure I’m going to hang onto mine.

That's the problem with the order. It was done through an AD and not directly with the brand. Airlines that have worked with the brand received the watch wholesale or at least deeply discounted (at least $1000). The AD asked for full retail price plus more for the customization. With an order of 500, it was a good day for that AD.

Yes. He said he wasn't interested because he bought the Breitling Avenger. He is a good friend.

Let me know if you want to sell it. I would like one to wear and be my beater, one to keep prestige. The other is going to my nephew, who will hopefully soon be a Delta pilot

Again, it's a big watch. The thickness is probably close to a sea dweller. Still, a good GMT.

Likes:
Pepsi style GMT
Limited edition airline logo watch
Reasonably priced, no worry about it getting all beat up.
Accuracy. I've had it since it was delivered and is better than half a second a day
It's a Tudor, a very well respected and quality built watch.

Dislikes:
Case thickness (it's huge)
Bezel clicks every half hour, not an hour
Rivet oyster style bracelet. (A jubilee would be a good option)
Lume... green and not as persistent as the rolex dial lumens.
Dial, not a black lacquer finish, matt, but ok.
Bezel is not ceramic. Yea, I know, it's a $4k watch.
No crown guards

Didn't know a pilot could have a fear of heights.

This looks awesome, if I was a pilot for Delta I'd be throwing the cash at it.

Interesting to see they have used the original 2018 GMT and not the newer slimmer version.

I have my original 2018 GMT on now, its a thick chunky watch.

I domt know when Tudor transitioned to the slimmer version, but these watches were ordered a long time ago (maybe April of last year?)

It was already out when Delta placed the order. But Tudor doesn't allow LE until production passes two years.

Looks good.

I was hoping for a United Airlines version. Of course, it would probably be delivered two years late and they would send the bracelet to the wrong city.

It would like better in the Opaline IMHO, but as Danny said, too soon to cut a LE.

If by the newer slimmer version you mean the BB58 GMT, I think they have probably used the older watch, as it has the iconic Pepsi Style Bezel, which was synonymous with Airline Pilots back in the day with the Rolex GMT Pepsi.
