Here in California, bee populations have been decimated and groups have been trying to bring them back over that last 5 or so years. Predators from oversees, inadvertently brought over from global shipping have wiped out the honey bees and these groups are trying to eradicate these predators.
California crops rely on the honey bees to pollinate and without this vital step, artificial pollination has to be used. More chemicals used is not good.

Agreed, we have a global ecological emergency on our hands, and the more people who recognise this, the better. Our survival as a species urgently depends on this recognition. OTOH, if we do not survive, the Earth will of course be just fine without the benefit of our inexpert stewardship.

Here in the middle of US ,,, I've never seen so many bees as this year. I'm not a gardener so know nothing about that. Bees are everywhere here.

I'm seeing a lot of hornets and wasps, but few bees. Even the fat fuzzy carpenter bee population seems down this year.
