I'd recommend trading Rolex to Rolex and avoid trading out of the brand into an Omega for example.
The Bluesy is a neat watch but it's loud with the gold and blue, perhaps toning it down with an original black Sub could work for you? Avoid trading into something ordinary like the Explorer I, that's too drastic of a downshift from the blue boy. |

I owned the Bluesy for 15 years. It’s a great watch but very one dimensional in its looks being loud/blue/ and two tone. What it does it does better than any other TT model. Other watches might be more versatile like a SS Sub or even a SS GMT. TT is a great watch for a collection but think a SS Sub/GMT will give you what you are looking for. Since you had a Bluesy, you may want to get a pop of color so you don’t get bored like a BLNR/BLRO. Stay in the Rolex family for this trade. You add an Omega as they are too easy to get for a good deal 2nd hand.

I do have a Sub, DJ 2 blue with fluted bezel, BLNR, Polar Explorer 2. Sort of covered my Rolex bases. Would buy a Daytona, but I am not a heavy enough hitter to expect one. Would not buy Daytona gray, too much moolah.
My latest lean is Cartier Santos. Different vibe and shape. |

Have you thought about a 5 digit version? Or even a 5 digit LN version?
One other replacement idea is a 16700/16710. A little color but on jubilee would be very nice. |

Santos would be good one for diversity. Like you I'd love to add a Daytona but it is going to be quite a wait if ever. The Zenith Chronomaster Sports are really nice and one on my 'to add' list someday but if I wanted it that day could be today (no wait).

Panerai has my vote too. More so the earlier ETA models.

Obviously, I need another watch like a hole in the head.
I could just take the money. But it is a charge to get another watch, especially if I am trading one in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Day Date looks great, but not into spending more money.
Thank you all for on target recommendations. |

For me the bluesy was very big in the eighties in my area, it seemed everyone had one and they are $4K back then. The PM was about $7K all new from the AD. I had the black for a while but it got Alliot of attention too much bling. The bluesy is a classic and will always be one. That blue dial is amazing especially on some of the newer references.
The new white speedy is amazing and the DJ41 with White is a classic and I like that new Santos with that sunburst dial. Look at what you already have and get something you prefer. Or keep the bluesy, you can’t go wrong with it. Cheers |

There's no substitute for the TT blue Sub, AFAIC. Unless you go full gold. I'd only swap mine for a blue TT SD43 if Rolex were to make it.

We’ll see how easy it is to get another Rolex as a one or two watch buy/year consumer. If not, leaning Cartier Santos and take home some cash.

Reading through the comments I agree with so many. I bought my first ever Rolex and it was a blusey in 2018.
I was addicted to it! Always arranged my dress attire around the watch lol. Never received more compliments on a watch in my life. Finally I moved away and it’s been hard to come back to it. I feel it’s too flashy and difficult to wear. I have sentimental attachment to it so it’s hard to sell not to mention as hard as it is to get a new Rolex at retail makes me feel dumb to sell it. I would try to keep it if you can but if not, take your time. Only you can decide what works for you. Good luck. |

I sold my Bluesy to my preferred AD today and I used the proceeds to buy a Moser Pioneer in green. Picking it up tomorrow, photos upcoming.

White dial DJ jubilee is a stunner - that would be my pick out of the 3.

I was between green and blue, picked green. I have a DJ2 in blue, IWC pilot that is very dark blue or black( can’t tell), so green is newer to me. The green model is a year newer, has a more finished movement, costs a little more. Certainly a more unique watch than my Bluesy. Thank you all for weighing in. First world problems.
A different take on a sports watch. |

Congrats! Enjoy the new watch! I laughed when I read your comment “I need another watch like I need a hole in the head.” LOL. Same here. But it’s a fun hobby. Just another WIS who loves to trade. @bladeandwatch1 on IG

Probably not
I wore it maybe ten times in six years. I’m just not into two tone yellow gold. Maybe the less obvious rose gold/everose? We’ll see. But I admire the watch, the face color is stunning and I realize most people would do anything to have one.

Well, I was going to recommend the Ing or a PAM but seeing you have those covered, I'd go for the Speedy.
