I’ll still work, just now I get to choose what is more fun for a job. Maybe a golf course job or something like working with animals again. Something that makes me smile and somewhere where I don’t have to deal with the worst people in society.

Man, firstly huge congratulations.

What you said makes perfect sense. I think I that’s why there is becoming a shortage of applications in some areas. It’s just too much risk on multiple levels.

Well, you made it. Enjoy every day of it.

I’m 42 and I think about retirement all the time haha. One day I’ll make a post like this. (Hopefully soon)

Congrats on your new watch and retirement. I retired at 55 with 35 years of service and got my first Rolex right after. You're going to love it.

Good job. 44 isn’t that early to retire if you plan ahead.

Congrats on the retirement and new watch to celebrate!

After I retired, I made it about 9 months before I went back to work... Make some travel memories with the new watch for the time being.

That's such a significant milestone, congrats on officially retiring after 22 years as a cop in the big city! It must feel amazing to reach this point. Your Submariner sounds like the perfect timepiece to mark this occasion. Enjoy this well-deserved break and the freedom from responsibilities.

I retired at 60. I ride my bike everyday. I’m up to 10 miles per day on average, and it’s a hard 10 miles. I’ve got my legs moving and my heart pumping. I also work out at the gym 3 days a week. My new purpose is to stay healthy and have fun.
