Think I need to revisit a 38mm and especially the 26315st
I know size doesn't matter but 7.25" is above average haha. My wrist is a bit over 6.7" and the 38mm is about the right size, along with the jumbo being perfect. I can see how it would feel smaller on your wrist. Also depends if you are accustomed to wearing large or small watches. After wearing some of my vintage watches, the 38mm (esp with the chrono pushers) and jumbo feel large. Really comes down to preference, I think photos can be a bit deceiving as watches appear larger when photos are close to the wrist but optically from the eye appears small - had photos of a 37mm which looked fine on me in photos but was entirely too small in person. Lots of factors come into play.

Also the color of the dial optically can make the watch wear slightly smaller/bigger. Try it with an extra link and report back, curious to your thoughts. Would love to get my hands on that platinum 38mm chrono.

I think the 38mm models don't really come standard to fit more than a 7" wrist. So if your wrist is that size or more, you'll likely have to have your AD order and extra link or two assuming you like how it wears. 39mm is a sweet spot, but 38mm works great now that my wrist size is back down to 6.5"

Thanks for that valuable input.

Most of my collection sit in the 39-42mm size range but in the last year the larger 43/44mm, and larger, ones have a) not been worn much at all and/or b) now sold on as I just don't wear them anymore.

Appreciate the point that size isn't everything too And to be fair earlier this year I tried on the following 38mm ROC 26715OR and even in my poor picture (below) I think it looks "ok" on me/my wrist;

And you are so right about the dial, it's colouring and style that will impact how any watch wears on the individuals wrist. And also how the photographs of the watch in question vs. in the flesh is so true as well.

When I am next at APH I am going to request a few more 38mm watches to try on and see if they work for me as it would open up a lot more options and, maybe, help allocation wise too..........

Thanks again.

I would rather take a 41mm in your case. Getting it because it's the easier allocation to get I'm not sure is the right move unless you really want the smaller version. That photo it borders on being on the smaller side and that usually exaggerates how big it is already.

I already have 3 x 41mm Royals Oaks, plus my Jumbo at 39mm, but I’m trying to not be closed off to 38mm if I feel they work for me and add something to my collection.
