Overpolished, replaced bezel insert, marks on crystal…I don’t care! It’s liberating to wear a non-safe queen!

I bought mine new in 2009, my first Rolex.

I bought more watches since and I’m thinking about maybe selling some, but I don’t have any plans to sell my Sub. I much prefer the 5 digit models, both Subs and Daytonas.

Nice! Check out a 16600 too, a bulkier version and more substantial

When I bought my ser U (cal 3000), it came with the anchor. I kept that, the sub was sold but today I have a ser Z (14060M)

The older and more worn out it gets, the better it looks and feels. Hope everyone enjoys the coming New Year!

My 14060M 2-line, Z-serial was my first Rolex and is here to stay. I have bought and sold several others and my new favorite is a 16710 Coke that I just added to my collection. There is something special about the pre-ceramic look.

I honestly believe that the 5-digit serial numbers are the pinnacle of the Rolex product line. I have a 14060M from 2001 with holes, two lines of text and a flat 4 making it an appropriate tribute to the original Sub but with a modern chronometer grade movement. The catalog then went flashy and none of the modern product is for me. Love it!
