That's great! It feels nice to have worn the best Rolex (for you) for the longest time. For me it was the 116710 LN the first black ceramic bezel GMT master II which I wore for 17 years straight as my only watch everyday. Enjoy!

Cool seeing a well worn Rolex these days. I would say polish at service. 12 years it’s earned its time for a refresh.

Great to see a well-loved and well-worn Rolex. I would not personally polish it, but the lack of tightness in the links is concerning and may lead to stretch over time. A regular dip in the ultrasonic cleaner would help maintain the integrity of the bracelet in the long run by removing grime from the nooks and crannies. I’d also get it pressure tested. Keep on trucking!

I’m all for wearing a watch everyday. But there is something for getting it back from service looking and feeling brand new again. Me personally I would for sure send it in for a service. I would deal directly with Rolex for a quick turn around. When you get it back you will be amazed at how it looks. At 12 years of everyday wear i would also say that you are due for service and are looking for trouble with bigger problems with water intrusion and that bracelet stretch is no joke. These new bracelets are not supposed to do that.

It looks great after 12 years of daily wear but I'd say it deserves a proper spa treatment for how well it's served you.

I would have it serviced without polishing. All those dings and scratches have been earned over 12 years, so it would be a shame to "erase" that history. Just my $.02.

Do you wait until your car breaks down, before you have it serviced?
Just asking.

After 12 years of flawless performance, a polish and preventative service could help maintain its condition. It’s not urgent, but periodic maintenance keeps it running smoothly for the long term.

Without servicing, you are simply wearing out your watch (parts.lubrication, etc.). I simply don’t understand the want/need to show how tough your watch is.

Agreed. If they want to swim in it, service isn’t the worst idea. A a pressure test everyone once in a while and run it until it stops.

Much prefer threads like this to the “how to apply protective stickers” or “how to build an AD relationship?”

I would consider having it serviced but polishing is your option.

You have certainly ‘worn’ it.

Absolutely! My only worry would be the bracelet, it looks like it needs a little TLC. You don’t want that coming apart on you.
