Yes, clearly not repeated posts from the same person.

Putting aside however anyone feels about a polish, as someone that manages departments and workflows, I find this an inexcusable mistake and strikes me as something RSC do better at preventing.

Regardless if the anti-polish camp is unreasonable, it’s still their right to do or not do what they like with their watch and polishing does completely change the entire look of the watch.

From a pure management perspective I find it very troublesome.

There isn't enough information here.

option 1 is senseless. New case + new bracelet ? That's pretty much a different watch. Taking into account the parts changed during a service, the only thing left is a couple of gear plates and a dial.

Option 2. Never heard of Rolex doing this. Is this really the Dealer Shop offering this? Still, again, a new bracelet is not the original bracelet, and a watch is only original once.

I go along with those who are asking what is wrong with the "polish" job? Its done all the time and seldom results in either of the two options stated.

I couldn't give a sensible recommendation based on such little information.

No, polish wasn't done badly. I couldn't tell the difference but the idea of having micro mm shaved off still bothers me.

Polish job was done fine. Just not happy that it was polished as I did not want this in first place!

I did not know this. Thanks for information!

I’m confused why we’re discussing this. Take the option 2 and move on with life.

If it’s modern, this is a non issue. Just take the extra warranty and in six months you’re never going to know it was polished. I would never willingly replace a modern Rolex case unless it was somehow disfigured.

Stating this you should move on and drop it.

Well then option 2 of course unless you don’t mind devaluing your watch big time.

I agree with Larry, I’ve never heard of RSC offering this.

1. Did you have this work done at RSC?
2. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Please post some

If warranty is from Rolex RSC I’d take Option 2.

If no issues with the polish job then just move on and enjoy your watch.

Cannot understand why my own working tool watch 16600.SD spent hundreds of hours underwater and was quite scratched been serviced and polished by 4 different RSC world wide still look good today.Rolex watches are designed to be polished at normal routine service. So with today's mainly pampered watches that's at least 4-5 service's or 40 years of wearing before you would notice any difference.
