RG DD

I get the feeling that the meteorite dials may be hard to read in certain light.

Well I like the meteorite but the day date is an awesome watch. As a collector if I don't have a day date in my collection that's the one I would choose if I have a day date and don't have a GMT actually I mean meteorite dial white gold while I don't favor white gold over Rose or yellow gold because it simply looks similar to stainless steel only the person wearing the watch and those in the know will know. So both have appeal a lot of it if you're on the fence flip a coin and you'll be happy with either one.

Just something about the Meteorite dial and the fact that makes is so unique but equally I like YG/RG slightly more over WG.

Yes it does. I've seen them for £38-39k and the official retail price is now £41.7k.

hmmm, ok. haven't seen that. Here in the US its new retail price after the increase is $47k and the lowest listing I see through watchrecon is $49k. With the average at $51K. The last one listed on Moda was an older one for $49K.

It looks like older examples are 49 and new ones are 51/52.

I think with the big price increase this month it has got pretty close but I don't think you can say these regularly sell for under retail. And especially not a new(er) example.

The Pepsi is gonna look practically the same and the dial different doesn’t up its look enough for the considerable more money when another killer watch (DD) is on the table as a option.

You can't really go wrong with either of them but Meteorite Dial WG Pepsi will get my vote, such a lovely piece in person.

I’m firmly in the Day-Date camp as well. The RG Olive DD40 my only PM watch and I have the others you mentioned and more (including: Hulk, Pepsi, Panda, Tiffany 41, Blue SkyDweller, and Snoopy). It’s easily my favorite of the bunch and stands out in the best way possible. It just feels a lot more special.

While I don’t necessarily care about value, I do think the RG Anniversary dial will hold strong. The olive and everose combination is striking and is sure to be a future classic. I’ve even had non-watch people comment on how handsome it looks.

The Day-Date was never on my radar until that model came out in 2016 and I knew then I had to have it. I was fortunate enough to pick it up in 2023 and think it will likely be discontinued this year or next. Everose really works with my skin and is more understated than YG, so the only other dial I considered was the Eisenkiesel but at the end of the day, I’m extremely happy I went with the Olive.

Both are winners, so good luck with whatever you decide!

Kwingy is in the UK. Prices here have taken a bit of a tumble recently (more so in the bricks and mortar independent resellers, less so with the large on line outfits)

TIA
Day-date if you can get a comfortable fit. Its a beautiful watch.

If you can't, and you may struggle to try one with the larger link if you can't get a good fit with the standard links, then BLRO.

Its a lot of money for a heavier than you currently have watch that's not 100% comfortable on your wrist.
