Yeah, it's running around -2.5 sec/day slow. My best is the Daytona at +0.2 sec/day fast.

I’d be going for the IWC mark XX on a bracelet. I’ve just picked a black one up and it’s fantastic. Can be dressed up/ down, 100m water resistance, 120 hr power reserve and decent strap change system. Not much not to like and you can find them pre owned for a bit off MRSP too.

Interesting question OP, I went through this myself with a similar PR requirement and I landed no the 5 day spring drive white birch.

Accurate as all hell, 100m WR, I can literally wear it anywhere.

Funny you mention that, I just tried one on two weeks in Sydney. I really liked it. I think the Mark XX or the White Birch are the front runners.

My only issue is the I’ve heard the Mark XX tends to run greater then +5 spd. I think a famous watch reviewer (TB) had it at plus 9. That’s a little disappointing for a $6150 dollar watch.

A question: if it’s a GADA watch, it is presumably worn every day or very often. So, why have the length of the power reserve be a significant factor?

If you’re going to daily this watch I think an ultra accurate movement like the SD makes sense. Mine is doing 0.1s per day, it’s nuts…

OP explains he does business trips in that time frame.

See Grand Seikos with 5 day spring drive movements. You won't have any trouble with accuracy.

OP here…

I’m going to Brisbane next week, I’m going to look at the Mark XX and GS White Birch very closely. I love the Arabic’s of the Mark XX but that accuracy thing is concerning.

Can anyone chime in vis a vis the Mark XX accuracy…

Like I said, Baldassare was reporting up to +9, not too great for 6k.

I may start a quick thread titled to get the attention of Mark XX owners.

A less expensive GADA I picked up was the Baume and Mercier Riviera. In either 39mm or 42mm. It has a bracelet and rubber strap as options, or interchange for a different look. I can't speak to the accuracy, but specs seem very close to the IWC Ingenieur.

I guess it’s luck of the draw. Mine runs at -1 do all good. The fact it looks great on anything is a bonus
