The question is, do I.71 casebacks even exist? A quick and dirty search has revealed only the following: IV.70, II.71, III.71 and IV.72

Great list, thanks for sharing. But are they specifically Ref. 1680 casebacks?

Cheers

Not necessarily. I started this list being more concerned with case dates and their relationship to serial numbers. Later on, I included the model type.

100%. I would never do it...or at least 99.9% of the time. I do some business over there so maybe a friend could do it for me. But the same can be said for US sales from private parties. The guys on this forum are exceptions. I had a Canadian guy try to screw me out of $90,000. He had my money, and shipped crates filled with weights.

I super-stalked his background and found out his day job is working for the Canadian Government.

I found his picture on LinkedIn and made a thumbnail title picture for a YouTube video with his image and name: "Abhi Do***" and "Canadian Thief." I told him I'd made the video showing evidence and what he shipped, and it was launching on Friday. He returned my money the next day.

The OP is from Europe, so maybe he would be interested. I'd like to know what you guys think of it but I've spent too much money lately.

So, how do you see the watch? Is it worth trading for? Or is it a problematic watch?

Try to ask for a picture of the full case number. I think something's not right with the engravings.

Photos finally showing up for me. I’m on Chrome. Odd.

Oh, and those poor crown guards. I’d pass on this 1680 based on that alone.
