I don't like it at all to be honest. Not huge on transparent watches like this. I love openworked watches...but when you can see your THICK arm hairs...I'm out! :)

I couldn't do this one (and most other MB&F) I am afraid. In stills it looks cool but IRL the large oscillating balance wheel would drive me crazy. I couldn't take my eyes from it to read the time... LOL

Yeah this is the main issue, it’s too expensive.

Indeed, when I first heard about this, rumor was they were doing a special project (non capitalized, one off) which was 50k usd and all pre sold. The fact that they are kicking off a Special Projects line is super cool imo. But it’s 58k CHF (bummer) & 76k USD (mega bummer!)

Before the recent tariffs and USD weakness against the CHF this would have been a a $64k watch which is probably not terrible. I don't think MB&F was too aggressive on price so much as the launch timing sucks for US customers.

$64k is a much better price point than $76k for this although it seems stupid saying it. If you’re buying in this price range $10k shouldn’t really be a decision swinger, but maybe I’m thinking of what else you can get in that range… dunno it just seems pricey.

usually the wheels' 'spokes' have inner bevels / polish. Imho something visually compelling we normally see on MB&F seems a bit amiss in this piece. Wheels need work, and a few other bits, plus something fun as an Easter Egg of sorts.

jmo, and of course it is a wonderful timepiece and looks very wearable.

I want to like it, but I'm disappointing in the level on anglage for the price point. Especially considering that there are a relatively small number of pieces to finish.

The design is probably 70% of the asking price. I dont mind having this, but I will not pay that much.

Is it me, or is there one machine model many are using to make small parts. Then sandblast / coat the metal. Czapek, Bever, Richmont, Breguet, etc. I love the Czapek, and pricing is appropriate imho.

At these low volumes and for such specialized machined components I’d assume there are a few different machines for each part of the process. And that the same machine models are favored and common among a lot of these small expensive independents.

This is an especially astute observation vis-a-vis the low component qty

As is tradition I must say I love the purple here but this particular watch is not my style.

Managed to check out the SP One at my AD yesterday!

Love the case shape and size but the Left crown and the layout doesn’t do it for me! If they had something closer to the LM101 without being transparent, would be my dream.

That being said, if it had hand finishing and more dial for the price I think it would be better. I hope they introduce more variants of this series in this case size.

I also managed to take a glimpse at the new Purple HM8 and boy the colour pops. Feels like those custom painted cars you see at SEMA, but I still prefer the Legacy Machines.
