Great collection! A Lange would be great in there.

Why do you want the FPJ CB? I’m going to project a little but it’s a little odd to me how people go for this one when they could’ve had the nacre which are technically piece uniques with the MOP dial. But these obviously now go for more than the CB and are no longer in production.

Anyway, if you’re looking at FPJ, I’d encourage you to do more research because there are phenomenal watches from the brand that are around 10-15k more on the grey market that offer way more than the CB.

CB is unique for its case and dial combination. I have to agree that the secondary price is really ridiculous but at retail, it is definitely one of the most impressive three handers.

If you plan to start the FPJ journey so you can eventually get to the CB. You should look into LN or AN. A lot of Journe DNA and is much easier than a CB to be obtained from the boutique as a first piece. (CB is not even taking names now?)

Obviously an incredible collection. If I had to be critical, I would say too monochromatic. The entire collection is blue and or white. I personally would enjoy a bit of color, maybe a Green Sub would itch the missing diver and add some color.

I’m guessing you don’t like yellow or rose gold but I would personally add that for one “bling” piece too.

I would appreciate some collection advice. I will attach a picture of my current collection but so people know references it is as follows:

Rolex Daytona 116500ln
Rolex BLNR
Rolex Day Date 40, 228238
JLC reverso ultra thin duo face GMT (21st birthday present)
Patek 5205g-013
AP Royal Oak 15450st

I am waiting to collect a Patek 5167a from my AD next. Every watch has been bought at retail.

My question is after the addition of the 5167a, I’m not sure where I want my collection to go. I am tempted to consolidate. 5740, Lange 1815 chrono and fp journe chronometre bleu all appeal to me.

Any opinions on what you would do? Or is it better to have a larger, well rounded collection than to consolidate. On paper I really am happy with my collection. I just feel the AP and Patek are above the rest, and sometimes wonder is quality better than quantity.

Many thanks

I wouldn't consolidate if I were you especially if you are happy with it, but I would definitely recommend adding the 1815 Chronograph. Lange is just amazingly different and a great addition to any collection.

What about the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms? That's a very popular choice.
