I hate to disappoint those out there, but good luck in waiting for something that might not ever arrive.

This frame of mind makes me think you are the type who wants to wait for the iPhone 13 instead of getting a XSmax now.

It’s more about condoning why you can’t buy it now even though you would if you could?

The 14060m Submariner wears and feels very similar on the wrist to the BB58, it falls into the same niche for me and I personally feel it will not fit well and will be a redundant piece in my collection. Terrific piece though, love its vintage vibe and the new 70hrs PR movement.

(I hope I am describing this clearly enough as English is not my native language.)

From the 2018 Tudor line I picked up the BB GMT - fantastic watch and it fits my collection, it is different enough from the Rolex GMT watch that I have (16750 Polar).

On your iPhone remark - I care less about the new and future iPhone models ;) and yes, I do believe Tudor will have other releases from the 58 line. I am very comfortable to wait and see.

This makes total sense to me; the Tudor is nice, but your Rolex is nicer, and they aren't that different with the only current BB58 color scheme being black. I'm holding out for a similar reason. Fingers crossed for a blue one this year!

Makes sense, although we are all comfortable to wait for the new dimensions to trickle into the line up :)

I suspect it may not perhaps. Only as the only other variation in size, the 43mm bronze has not.

How does the tudor leather strap on the bb58 look and feel?

Thinking of putting mine on leather.

the pic above your post is a good example of the oem leather colour.
it's lighter than some pics make out when it's in direct daylight.
in direct daylight the brown strap also highlights the brown in the dial when the sun hits it at certain angles.

it's a good quality strap.
the deployment is nice as well.
i removed the strap and put it on black leather no stitch, as i like the match to my skin tone / tattoos better.

edit. sorry i don't have any pics on hem leather.
the brown may suit more people.

here's a pic of it with black, i put on another thread.
and a pic of the watch in the sun to show the brown i'm trying to explain.

if you like the colour of the oem its's a great strap and super comfortable.
i may take mine to a leather maker and have it changed to black it's that nice.

edit. sorry i don't have any oem leather pics.

I’m in... I just picked up my 58 on strap and decided to unload my BBB with in house movement. I was not initially a fan of the gilt color on the bezel but looks great in person with the strap and gives it a vintage vibe.

Now that there are more 58s out there, does anyone’s wind counter clockwise to advance time? (Turn the crown towards you to make the hands move forward).

Mine does, I know certain movements do, my JLC moonphase does when the intended operations is clockwise for advancing time.

Just wondered how often this happens during installation.

can't remember
i'm trying to test the power reserve atm..
but i can't keep this watch off my wrist.
longest I've kept it off my wrist is 63 hours with no problems still running.
(i don't use winders)

if i can keep it off my wrist I'll try and remember to check for you if it stops.
i got a few watches and some are in different directions but i never pay attention.
some of my vintage manual wind is crown anti clockwise to forward hands.

did just check accuracy.
i normally check a new watch to see that everything is ok and then after a couple of weeks i never bother checking again.
14 days since i set it = plus 15.5 seconds total, worn at least every second day.
pretty happy with that.

My guess is that the grey market pricing for these will be pretty much the same as it is for the regular black bay within a few months, which means ~20% discount for NIB.
This is what I'm holding out for. Could've bought it in Paris in August but I hate paying retail for anything...

Just got a call that mine should be in within a week, and I can’t wait. Got a great deal ~20% off as well. Thank god these aren’t nearly as hyped here in Asia, bc I can’t take the Rolex SS BS anymore!

Picked up my 58 today.. love it. The gilt dial is gorgeous in the sun light. On my 6.5” wrist

Picture compared to my 114060. I think they complement each other well in my collection.

My feelings as well, this is a modern twist of the 60's Submariner that I desire but IMHO it needs the date.

I can't wait for my Tudor BB GMT, just wish I could justify having this in my collection as well.

Got mine last Saturday, with bracelet. It’s my first and only Tudor, and believe it totally rivals my 14060, and with a better movement. I was once into vintage, but the 5508 never saw wrist time due to fear of damaging it. The BB58 totally reminds me of a modern 5508. It’s a serious yet fun watch to have in my rotation.
