I weighed all facts….how I use the car, the amount of performance/power I need, the tech I need/want/use, what styling cues I love in a Ferrari, the sound I want (this one definitely holds importance), etc…
I decided to go the other way….some may say…good choice, some may say….should’ve stuck with what you had.
For me the 458 is an epic car, and will always hold a special place in the Ferrari lineup…I love that fact, as well as all Ferrari history…it meets all my needs and I brought one home yesterday!
Last N/A Ferrari V8, last Pininfarina design.
Value wise, I think it’s a wash now and going forward, as the 458 will always be revered, IMO.
Very happy with my decision, this car is so good (for me), and those who know…know! This spec has everything I need and more.
Thanks for sticking with the long winded post!
Quick & dirty pics…drove it in the rain yesterday…

Absolutely Beautiful! Congratulations!

I needed a car that could fit in my small garage, hold me, my wife, my dog in the back, hold luggage for our road trips, handle like a go-cart, go quick when I give it the beans, convertible and get 30mpg. The answer was a Mini Cooper.

This has been a real mixture of love and hate... but right now (because I FINALLY got it running), it's love

Picked this 1984 BMW e28 almost a year ago from an older couple in south MN - 58k on the clock but a non runner and had been sat in a garage for 10-15yrs.

It's taken a lot of work (new gas tanks for 40yr cars aren't cheap) and help from the e28 forum to get it running, but after a brake job and decent wheels and tires, I was finally able to get it out on the road 2 weeks ago.

It's now with a mechanic in Chicago, who's going through some things I'm not able to, but in a month or so, it should be mechanically sound and ready for a new stereo and (a little) rust repair.

I love the e28’s. I had an 86’ 528i that was my buddies grandmas. I wish I still had that car almost weekly. Can’t wait to see more pictures of that beauty!!

Thanks, this is a stick 533i - not as popular as the 528i or 535 variants, but it's special to me, as my first major mechanical project car. When I get it back from the BMW mechanic, it'll be time for a proper backroads, italian tune-up.

I will say it's been a bit of a money pit... but cars/watches/toys in general - they're all outlets for disposable income.

It will be well worth the coin when she’s all said and done.

I feel like there was another one on the forum that was completely rebuilt into a spec race car. It was amazing. I think it was an early m5 if I remember correctly.

E28’s have a special place in my heart but the e39 m5 makes my jaw drop every time I see one.

I remember those when they were new. Brings back a lot of memories, visiting the local MB, BMW, Porsche, Audi dealer (back when they were all under one roof and didn't have to have their own dealership buildings). My dad had the big 2 door coupe with the same engine, the e24 633CSi. The 533, 633 and 733 were nice cruising cars! Congrats and enjoy yours!

A couple weeks ago I traded my 21 G550 Edition 550 for a 22 G63 AMG. The color is Sintered Bronze Magno. I love this thing!

Last one, two driving months in cold Finland before the shitty winter weathers start. I'm going to drive this air cooled as much as possible before putting it to the winter storage.

Love it. I just traded my Gobi 392 but it was an absolute riot this summer. I don’t think I drove it once without flooring it haha

Since this is the "Car Love Thread", I figured this was better than starting a new one.
Wondering what your thoughts are on the new Purosangue? Now that real pics are out there.

I personally like it. Glad it has a V12, I’m sure it’s a beast. Style wise, definitely looks the part of a Ferrari, follows their softer lines styling vs the Lamborghini styling of the Urus. I think the Lamborghini, as well as other exotic brands, that have produced an SUV, look a bit more utilitarian/SUV than the Ferrari. I guess you could look at that that as good or bad. I like both styles for the way they have all kept to their brands’ roots. JMO of course.

I love it.

Would love to have one. Will be near impossible to get though. And it’s pricey. Very for an SUV.

But love the styling…and V12 goodness. Wow.

Man I absolutely love this one. The asst. mgr in my apt complex has one similar. Jacked up, nice looking wheels etc. This would be what I would drive if I had any option.

I like it…but, if you can get one. The V12 is the model introduced and it’s already sold out for at least two years. In fact, if it’s available for a third year with the V12 is not clear as Ferrari has hinted in closing the order books already. My dealer said they are going to list base at 390k USD and to build it with the same options on my car is going to be 500k plus USD. That’s huge money. My dealer thinks that with the limited production run of the V12 will render this SUV closer to a million bucks in the coming years. Crazy. This has only been offered to vip clients…..which I am not!

Here's one of mine. I've owned this Jeep since I bought it new in 2009 and its been a wild ride. Still seems to make my heart race after all these years.
