MCLAREN brought new upgrades to this track (not that they needed them) and that was the shocking difference today. Ferrari surprised with their long run in’s as well.

Well it's good that others now have a good chance to win too, after that long stretch of RBR dominance.

23 second win and pumps in the fastest lap of the race on his last lap - I would say Lando was cruising with a lot of pace to spare.

Big time, and I loved Horners face during the ceremonies. The guy is dying inside. Should be a fun finish to the end of the season.

Exactly! It’ll be fun to watch the constructors points play out if this trend continues.

I believe they've released them so they "should be" there....

Monza, with the trimmed out aero, should be interesting. New T1 chicane has been tightened up even more so that Lap 1 Turn 1 funnel will be super interesting as well.

What a mess...they thought 2 days ago Mazapin would allow it.

Now, Hass' F1 team continues to be in a precarious position at Zandvoort. Haas' assets remain seized in the Netherlands due to a missed payment deadline to former sponsor, Uralkali.

Thanks Phillip. Yeah, was surprised since 9 million is chump change for a proper modern F1 team.

+interest +a working F1 car(!) and to organise the money transfer to Russia.

It was a hard to do. It may follow that they will not own two perfectly working race car in Monza. And anyway, this is also an expense under the cost cap, and it's an awful lot.

Bitcoin is easy, all good. F1 has BTC sponsors, so very very easy.

I think this is not an 'expense', it is a refund.

I'm not sure if they will have the right to build another car without having to worry about the cost cap. I'm also not sure that this refund will not seriously affect this year's budget for this small team, since they have to pay this refund from their budget for this year, while the income was already spent years before. In any case, we will see this at Monza and until the end of the year.

Hmmmm... you're right. Wish there was some well-backed team from the USA interested in F1.

I suspect the car is one from the year Mazepin was due to race, so is just gathering dust anyway…..haas wont need to build another car, just give them the museum piece

I think a contract of this kind should give you a real, working one, not a vintage. Anyhow, if this had been the case, it could have been handed over a long time ago, the sanctions did not apply to it.

In addition, Haas did not even talk about the car, but only about the money was delivered. Given that the bailiffs were in Spa, I do not believe that they could have delivered another working racing car there in such a short time. Therefore I think, one of their car was taken away.

There was even a high chance that they wouldn't be able to leave SPA, because all the Haas equipment was confiscated. That wasn't funny.

Again, 9 million is chump change, someone wanted their pound of flesh and global publicity.

But seriously, let's get a real team in there.

I don’t think we need more teams with poor cars and mediocre drivers. Crowded on many tracks already.

I think it would be great to get another US team in the mix, ie: Andretti. He's willing to put up the funds and has some good backing Let him in and lets see if he cuts it. If not, then he'll bail. It wouldnt be the 1st time a 'team' joined in..and couldn't make it all happen.
So you have to split the winnings 11 ways instead of 10. Is somone going to go broke...or just realize that this is what they expected..or can compete in..!
Give it a go and let the chips fall where they may...just imo.
