OK......I'm relaxing here with a glass of wine that I think I've really earned. Came home from work this afternoon, got changed and headed into the back yard. We've finally got some warm weather and that motivated me to get going on patio cleanup and some backyard touch ups. Here's a few before and after shots. It'll be a while before decent weather brings everything into bloom...but I love the "starting point" just as much.

Nice work, Nancy! Now that's an inviting yard. I'm so glad to see things looking warm and green in your neighborhood. Makes me want to take my shoes off and feel that cool grass underfoot!

Thanks Lisa. There aren't too many parts of me that don't hurt this morning. Still lots to do. We need to order our mulch yet and get the planting finished in the front gardens. While that's going on....the contractors are working on our house.

I just noticed in the member log at the bottom of the page, that a few members have a "+" next to their user name. The ones I noticed are Lisa, Redshirt1957, Jimbits, and Trurolexer. Any idea what this is? Are you guys in some sort of secret club?!

Who are you? Well, if you want to join our club there is one little thing we require! Lets just call it a special hankdshake at this point. On point, I have no idea what the + means.

OK, now I'm really curious. I checked the larger member log (members in the last 24 hours) and saw Lisa's name, but no "+" next to it.

Hmmm...

All you girls are special. I should not post this, but it should be safe in the "Girls Coffee Shop". With each kid the wife put on a few pounds and was not happy with her look. She is either 5' 8" or 5' 10", hell I can't remember. Since last October she has been on a mini diet and I took a peak at her digital scale, yes she was not around and it has a memory feature. She now weighs 128lbs. Guess the workouts with the pool boy are going well. I was happy either way, but since she feels better about herself, that is what makes me happy. Now, how much longer will she hang around with an old guy.

Gosh, I am 5'8", and that is not a lot! I wish I was 128... My husband tells me the same thing, but knows that I am happier when I am not carrying the extra pounds (he's right).

Joe, you know that women don't do anything they don't want to... so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

When you take into account her height and the fact she is "top heavy", 128 is as low as she should go. I noticed that she bought a bikini last week. She would kill me for posting this.

Stress played a role, but mostly exercise. She bought some workout thing, about the 10th one, and uses it one hour a day, five days a week. I put a TV in the workout room and she watches CNN/FOX News duirng her workouts. I taught her to eat a big meal in the morning, eat healthy at lunch, then a very small dinner at 6:00pm. She lost 40lbs over an eight month period. I will find out the name of the machine she bought becasue she told me it is the only one that really worked for her.

Wow! That's fantastic!

I am feeling a little braver now so I'll admit this, but right now I am about where she was 8 months ago. Maybe there is hope after all...

Wellup, not that it's much consolation, but you tall gals can carry 40 pounds a whole lot better than us shorties!
