There is something to be said about taking pride in being a "stupid ape"

It's also cute how the "HFs are greedy capitalists" narrative is quite similar to the "let us be greedy now as well" haha. Emotional decisions are never good - especially within the markets.

There will be blood. And then they'll ask the govt. for restitution as the "game is rigged".

They can hold and hold. That's great. Get some hedge funds to lose a few billion. Great too. But what's the end game?

Stock value ain't money until it's in your account. That 400$ stock is still worth 10$, end of day. Those who got in and out first will have made cash, the other 90% will cry themselves to sleep. And blame the rigged markets.

Just not smart.

What are your thoughts here on GOOG for ER? I love them too, it seems that no ER is good enough these days. AAPL has best quarter ever, blows away every estimate and then falls after ER. Maybe an opportunity for us to add.

If you want to play Silver it is NOT thought SLV and or ETFs. People ALWAYS FORGET that ETFs can issue (or redeem) more shares to match the underlying assets. This is NOT ideal if you are trying to play a momentum trade. That is why I suggested AG yesterday which was positive 22% today, they are a levered miner.

For all of us in FDX, UPS reports before the bell tomorrow. I don't know UPS as well as FDX but if they report a good ER, that should bode well for FDX. Purchased more April $270C today.

Nice, I have LMT calls for June, been waiting for them to show a clear reversal and then add a few more to lower my cost, and if they are too slow I'll stretch it to January.

FDX June calls for me as well. Could actually be great tomorrow between UPS earnings and AMZN earnings to give us an idea of online shopping and deliveries combined - might be just what we need to get things moving up. I've been averaging down as we go, still in the red on my calls, but I think we'll see things turn around pretty soon.

For GOOGL, they blew out earnings last quarter and gained nicely on a terrible red day for the market. FB had good earnings this quarter so I expect the same for GOOGL. One thing I always keep in the back of my mind for these big companies though is to put in perspective just how massive they are as a dollar amount needed in market cap to see a given % change in the share price. GOOGL is currently valued at 1.3T - so somehow they'd have to justify a 130B benefit to gain 10%, which is a huge sum of money. For AAPL, currently at 2.25T, to get back to their ATH of about 145 their market cap needs to grow by 170B. Its an astronomical amount of money, and despite having blowout earnings, I'm not sure if they qualify them for that extra 170B. At least, that's my rationalization for why they pulled back and why we have been seeing these behemoth companies relatively flat the past few months.

JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs remain bullish.

GOOGL and AMZN on deck after the close!

i think apple earnings came at the worst possible time, right in the middle of the gamestop mess and right before all the trading cancellation. i don't think it would've gone down as much had it not been for all that since we saw the entire market tanked mid week

I agree. Definitely got beat up. I have a sizable position (relative to my portfolio) in Apple and it stung a bit. Long and strong though...

E*Trade tripping all over itself again for me this morning. Can't get anything pushed through in a timely manner.

Snagged a GOOGL call (May 21/1940 strike) to play earnings.

Obviously it could go either way, but I'm expecting big things from their ad business over the holidays. If price action goes south, I've at least got a few months to earn it back.

BCRX open in the 12s and drops straight to the 9s, the biowar is on!

Back to my regular self... I'm already tired of this, maybe I should stick to funds.

I believe 7sins was speaking of this and DASH puts. Not sure if we should wait for it to go a little higher?

Anyone trimming their Amazon position before earnings?

Feel like expectations are high and priced accordingly.

I'm not! Long-term hold and I don't mind riding the wave with AMZN.

Caught a bit of the CCIV wave - calls up at 17% and 28%, even after I chased today. We'll see if the Lucid merger comes to fruition.

I don’t think DASH has the same sort of locked shares % as SNOW.

7sins can confirm.

Nicely done.

I'm just tired of holding through stellar earnings only to watch the stock take it in the nose if you know what I mean...

I have not been following along with CCIV. Kicking myself a bit today as I was looking at SAVA just the other day at $20, today it's up over 150% on promising results for their Alzheimer treatment.

I'm long PSTH. Hopeful for a promising announcement from them soon.

I understand DASH’s lock up to be 3/9 (90 days after 12/9 IPO if it’s over $127.50). Not sure if it’s as significant as SNOW’s or what the right entry point is for it though. I was hoping it would pop over $200 this week and planned to jump in then.

Having sold my 5/21 SNOW $300Ps last week when it was in the low $270s, I grabbed 5/21 $340P when it was at its peak today.

Interested to hear 7sins’ thoughts on both.

Very nice. Good luck with it.

Oh brother. Got REAL lucky w/ this one. While watching Saturday NFL games earlier last month, kept seeing Lucid Air commercials. Checked out details about the Air, their mgt, various online news articles and even Twitter self-proclaimed detectives. Posted some of the details here.

It’s def been a heck of a ride. Just hope they merge with Churchill.

Picked up shares at $14, 16, & 18. Also added Aug $17.50 calls at $6.91. Wish I heard about CCIV earlier as my buy-in (risk) would been likely 20% cheaper.

Big Amazon news.

“Amazon is also announcing today that Jeff Bezos will transition to the role of Executive Chair in the third quarter of 2021 and Andy Jassy will become Chief Executive Officer at that time.”

Nice pickup on Lucid, let's hope it does merge!

GOOGL with the big beat - the call I bought this morning is looking good thus far. AMZN moving up as well, even on that Bezos news - let's carry this market again, big tech!

Staying long in both.

AMZN on the move up now as well AH.

This bodes well for the bull market; what a turnaround from last week.

Have to say, I was not expecting the market to head this direction so quickly this week, but I’ll take it! Quickly redeployed some cash, stop losses in place. I just wish Mr Market Maker would stop beating up my poor BlackBerry lol. New Amazon CEO is former AWS chief, who was involved in the BB partnership for IVY. Hopefully this is something that works in favor of BB going forward.

bb got absolutely destroyed and it's pretty sad. could say in hindsight should've taken profits last week but no one expected robinhood to halt buys for all those stocks and cause this

still long on it though and hopefully it goes back to around $20...i do think it has a good future so i'm not too worried yet but still unfortunate

I'm also a long believer for BB. They have a nice little business going on. Too bad it has been overshadowed by 1st, their old handheld history and secondary, being mentioned in the same breath as GME (the latter could be a long term + or -).

Regardless, we will see a nice dip to add more.

Do hope some folks took a nice profit last week to get ready and rebuy at a lower price.

Bought 3,000 shares of CCIV at $14.
Bought another 3,000 at $18.
Sold 2,000 at $22.
Bought more at $25
Sold 1,000 last week.
Keeping what I have until announcement and immediately look to sell high price calls before pullback consolidation.

Feb $40 calls were $6.20-$6.40. Tempting sell but am holding tight. Lucid need a big infusion of capital as they start production 2nd qtr so I am expecting announcement soon.

BB has long term upside IMO.
