For those who missed out, this is the most reasonably priced one since launch, http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php...o=985089&rid=0, and it's by our very own if I'm not mistaken. |

The one on DavidSW’s website is gone. They were asking $21,975. That’s still a healthy premium.
I have a hard time agreeing with the idea that these will be trading below retail. |

Guys, instead of checking Second Hand prices - enjoy those beautiful watches and wear them!

I get wanting to know that our watch holds a strong value, but who’d want to sell this awesome watch?! Personally I love it

Yes just interesting to know about the market as well.
By the way that is great strap! Is it parachute strap? Works very well with the orange pop! |

Yeah that’s me lol I’m a degenerate. I only listed there because watchrecon isn’t picking up TRF right now for some reason. It’s also listed here with pics. This is a great watch. I must seek therapy lol

Agree on the crown and buckle straps. I got a couple of their single pass NATOs for this watch and love it.

Thanks so much for confirming. I absolutely love it. RRL has a ribbed nylon configuration from time to time that resembles the Supreme Matte. They’ve made it in the classic colors (grey, olive, and tan) but never all at once and always in limited supply. Even when they are in stock I could never justify the price at $75. Your post finally has me on a strap that seems to tick all the boxes for me. Thanks again! |

Blancpain x HODINKEE
This just arrived and so far I’m really impressed! The size is perfect and I feel it wears smaller than the other 40mm watches I own. Like others have said, for the price it should have also come with a sail cloth strap. When I went to the AD to buy a strap their first question was, “for the new Mil-Spec?” I guess they’ve gotten a few orders for them. I really wish the 20mm sail cloth strap was also available in the olive green color. It goes great with this watch.
I’m not sure if this person is on TRF, but I want to thank whoever decided this watch wasn’t for them and returned it. It was quite a surprise when I got an email from, Hodinkee. From one watch enthusiast to another, thanks!! That grainy, matte dial is ![]() ![]() |

Wow, congrats!!! It looks so awesome! Do show us when the strap arrives. IMO Blancpain has the best Diver watch on the market in terms of design, value and heritage.

I tried to buy one the morning they were released. Had it in my cart and by the time I went to complete my payment it sold out and that's when I added my name to the wait list. I also sent a follow-up email to their customer service team letting them know I had added my name to the waitlist and that I was still very interested in the watch.

When I first got the FF I took it off the nato right away. I just returned from a two week trip that I wore it on the BP nato the whole time. I have to say the nato has now won my respect. It’s extremely comfortable, it makes the watch pop, and it gives it a cool vintage vibe. I think I’m starting to understand the design language Hodinkee was going for with it. Of course I still think it should have also come with the sail cloth but I have more respect for the nato now.

I got my Milspec in late December and while I love it finding a strap that fits it right is a pain. I'm not a NATO fan.
I ordered the OEM Blancpain 20mm tropic strap (used on the No-Rad reissue that uses the same case) and it contacts the case even when using the OEM curved spring bars (and I had to source a buckle for it). Then I ordered a custom curved-end strap from Jean Rousseau that had to be redone (came in the wrong size). Then ordered an Erika's Originals that fits great. But not sure why BP put the holes in the lugs so close to the case, there was plenty of room for them to move the holes 1-2mm down to give it more clearance. |
