Leo, the lawn guys are going to try overseeding; in fact, they were out this morning aerating and seeding. I think eventually, though, I'd like to start replacing the bermuda with that Zorro zoysia you and Joe have been talking about. Our yard man wasn't familiar with Zorro; I hope it will grow well here. Otherwise, we might try another variety of zoysia.

I've been around - just in a posting slump, I guess. Sometimes I just get out of the groove, you know? Or I go through a crabby spell and don't want to inflict my bad mood on everyone!

Mornin' Bill! Happy Saturday! What's on the agenda for the weekend? I think the high point for us so far is that we're going out to buy a leaf blower!

Busy day today. At 1:00 my son's karate dojo has it's annual demo where they raise money for a charity called The Tomorrow Fund. It helps families of kids with cancer. Last year our little independent dojo raised over $8000.00. It's fun for the kids and it's a good lesson.
Our little league team is playing 2 towns over at 11:30 so we'll try to get that game started early and let Ethan pitch the first couple innings and 1 or 2 at bats before we have to leave.

Hi everyone, busy weekend ahead between bicycling and the gardens will keep me busy. We are planting another 30 perennials and approximately 60 annuals in the beds around the house. Also last weekend we picked up a beautiful Fuchsia hanging basket for the porch. It has double the petals and sepals and is a pretty shade of pink lightening to cream in color!!!

Susan Boyle came second in Britain's Got Talent guys...

Her rendition of I dreamed a dream tonight was amazing but a English dance act won it...

In all fairness what they did was pretty spectacular...can't post youtube footage cos it aint up yet!!!!!

Asking for pictures... That was your first mistake. LOL

This hairy blur is my kid. My point and shoot camera sucks for action pics and so I'm almost forced to buy a nice digital SLR soon. Woe is me.

They raised $5,000 for the charity. Pretty good for this economy. I get all happy when people dig deep and are generous. We won a nice picture in the raffle for my son's bedroom. I'll try to take a picture of that tonight or tomorrow.

We are babysitting family friends kids - two girls and a boy. The 3 girls are bunking in the upstairs office, and the 2 boys are sleeping in my children's room.
