Morning all, planning on a bicycle ride here this morning before the rain hits. Also if it doesn't rain there is an excellent Art Fair in Chicago in Hyde Park called the 57th Street Art Fair!!!

A few pics from our Sailpast......the offical opening of the race season. Yesterday's weather was perfect!

The beginning of the "Pomp and Circumstance" part...the blessing of the fleet.

The boats get "dressed" prior to the official presentation of the fleet by the Vice-Commodore of Yachting. The flags are those won in various events over the years.

Preparing to launch the boat.....

Blown Away and crew, passing the reviewing stand.

Son Paul doing some prep work prior to launch.

Future daughter-in-law Erica and granddaughter Aislyn.

Aislyn with a new friend.

Al and the boys love to stand at the patio rail to have their beer!

The end of a long day for a tired little girl and her equally tired very pregnant mommy!

On the second to last photo the Canadian National flag is flying at half mast, has someone died or is there some nautical significance please?

How observant you are! Actually......it's neither. The flag pole had been taken down for repairs, had just been reinstalled and they had some technical glitches with the halyard when raising the flag.

The official photographer that was there for the event asked if he could take a pic of our whole family. Aislyn had reached her "wall" by then, had just fallen and bit her tongue and absolutely refused to be in the picture.

Thanks so much! The kids (the grown ones!) thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They love getting out on the boat.

I'm sure Al was in his glory. I remember the pics of him working on the boat while it was still cold out. Have a great boating season.

Ethan's team lost today. His spring soccer season is over. They didn't make the playoffs. Their "competitive" team wasn't competitive enough. That's ok though. Now we get our Sunday's back for ourselves and he and I have already been to signups for next year (fall). He's hoping to get onto a better team next year and the summer off from soccer will be good for all of us.
Besides, baseball playoffs start this week.

He is having SO much fun!

What I like the most is how supportive you are of everything he does. It'll be great to have those Sundays together. Thanks for posting another great pic!

Ethan is so lucky to have a dad like you.

Then again, from all indications you're pretty lucky to have Ethan as a kid, too!

Nancy, it rained this morning and has threatened rain the rest of the day so we didn't go to the Art Fair today. I am still planning to bike and spent a pleasant afternoon in the garden planting flowers and the never ending weeding!!!

I wanted to plant a few ferns today, but the wind is really cold today so I scrapped that plan. The quick turn from yesterday's beautiful weather to today's cool weather with rain on the way has me stiff all over and hurting in places I'd forgotten I'd had so not much of anything is getting done today. On top of that, I slept badly last night so I'm taking the easiest way out of everything today.

Anyone here own two tone ladies datejust with jubilee bracelet? What kind of dial you ladies have? I'm planning to get the ivory pyramid roman. Would like to see modeling pics of your watches.

Hello! I used to have a TT rose gold lady DJ with pink concentric dial, but it was on an oyster bracelet. I sold it shortly after purchase because the dial was very hard for me to read.

Your choice of the ivory pyramid dial with romans sounds very nice!

There's no "maybe" about it, Leo! I'm just putting off the inevitable and leaning way back from the screen as I read your post!
