Had our traditional Danish Christmas Eve dinner..starting with risengrØd ( Rice Pudding) with butter and cinnamon and 'Christmas beer' then our duck with sugar Glazed potatoes, red cabbage and brown gravy. Accompanied with my wife's favorite zinfandel and I had the red.
It was really good....

I had to get creative to do a tomahawk steak on the little RV Weber grill on indirect heat. I used small rocks to raise the grill grate above the griddle grate to slow cook the steak and it turned out pretty damn good.

Thanks. Doing a 2.5” tomahawk was a challenge on a little Weber, but I got creative and it turned out great.

That was an inspired solution.

I sort of went in a different direction.

2-rib roast, 550° oven after a supersear.

Butterflied it after a rest when 130° came from the center.

Didn’t shoot the twice baked stuffed Idaho’s with broccoli spears. Too impatient, I guess.

But I did sauté a chuck of Cranberry pan bread and laid it atop a bed of peppermint whipped cream…ahh…sizzled cake!
