The Official Formula One Thread!

For the benefit of keeping this thread open, I'd suggest we focus on F1 racing and its ancillary support series rather than the FIA political mess.

I'm not trying to quash individual's opinions, just trying to keep the thread open.

Steve made a very appreciated decision in reopening this thread when a couple of members launched into non-compliant dialog years ago. Different issue then, but Steve said it was a last chance for the thread.

So FIA politics and the inevitable cultural or other national issues could lead us to a slippery slope.

Thanks in advance for understanding...

Yes - and McLaren has made a suspension design choice that could make the AUS GP and interesting race next weekend.

The merchandise tents have set up for the first race.
Out of interest I enquired about the various team baseball caps. They range from AUD$80 - 95. These are snap backs, not fitted hats...

I guess its fair to say nothing is bargain priced in F1

I think I would prefer spend $65 and get a NYY fitted cap of higher quality construction.

Are you attending the race Steve?
It's a full slate of F3 & F2 also.

No I will not be attending.
I live only 1km away from the track and I've been a couple of times before. I prefer to watch the practice sessions and race on TV.

As we head into the first race week of the upcoming season. There are many things to look forward to including the performance of Hamilton in his first season with Ferrari and will Max has a good enough car to compete with McLaren and Ferrari.

Has anyone run into an issue with F1 TV's subscription, specifically your ability to stream across six devices simultaneously?

Quick question, are all 6 devices on the same public IP network? Or across a mix of public and VPN addy's?

All of the information I have is from this page: https://www.formula1.com/en-us/subscribe-to-f1-tv I don't see anything addressing your question. In my scenario, I'd be splitting the cost of this with friends in different states (different time zones).

I thought you already had F1 TV and were experiencing trouble. I understand better now.

Check:
Account Sharing Policies:

The app has strict policies against sharing account credentials. If multiple users attempt to access the same account from different devices simultaneously, it could trigger restrictions or even account suspension.

Your question has more to do with policies since you would be cost-sharing a single account.

Here is what I think is the right answer from the Term sheet:
6. PROVIDING THE SERVICES

6.1 We will supply the Services to you until your subscription expires or you end the contract as described in Clause 8 or we suspend or end the contract as described in Clause 10.

6.2 You may only access the Services on up to a maximum of 6 devices with only 1 of those devices permitted to stream content at any one time.

If your friend wants to watch the race (for example, from their home) while you are watching it anywhere - then no bueno.

Its going to be an interesting race in Melbourne this week to see where everyone is really at for the start of the season. There have been so many changes since last year so there will be a lot to see.

And the Wx Steward should be fired

Race day will be interesting. After low chance of rain on Friday and Saturday, the chance of rainfall increases to 80% during the Grand Prix.

On top of that, 10-20 mph westerly winds are also forecasted.

So you're saying we're going to see a mixed qualifying session with a good chance of a rainmeister winning on Sunday?

Many eyes will be on Hamilton, has the Ferrari made a step, will Hamilton be as strong or stronger than LeClerc.

Is Doohan the real deal, can he cut it at BWT...

How will Lawson go with his new team mate? Is the Red Bull an inferior car now that Adrian Newey is no longer associated with the car set up?

Has Aston Martin got any better with Adrian Newey's input?

Is McLaren the top car from last year and how will it play out between Norris and Piastri who had their intra-team battles last year....will the driver's implode again?

Sainz super fast in testing and has a point to prove to Ferrari for droping him to make way for Hamilton, can he turn around Williams and make them a pointy end of the grid team once again?

Mercedes looks quite strong in testing but are they the real deal for 2025 or have they been jumped by other teams. Russell's new team mate Antonelli has a point to prove and get runs on the board.
