So far the only result has been that the courts took away his joint custody and visitation which is just unheard of, because they could see he was just using the system to torture us. and that he wasn't really interested in the children. That happened two years after he filed the first motion 5 years ago. Since then he filed a motion to reduce child support...which is where we are now.

He knows he can and IS dragging the child support issue out as long as the court will allow him to make excuses. I was too nice in the beginning and never had the automatic deductions for the child support taken out of his paycheck because he asked me not to

Like an idiot I complied.....so later on when he changed jobs and was temporarily "out of work" he filed a motion saying he was destitute....The courts NEVER verified this and we are only now getting the records of his financial data since then.

All his bank statements show income from coming in from SOMEWHERE (remember he claimed he is destitute while living in a $300,000 home) of anywhere between $8,000-$10,000 per month with no lapse at all!!! If ever I have to be destitute I want it to be like that.

His "unemployment" situation did not last very long and he is employed now and and has been making $120,000 again, and yet still nothing in the way of child support. Just lots of excuses and stalling through his attorney.

I think the bitterness come into play because NONE of his family or friends are aware of this situation, and he makes me out to be horrible to all his radical Christian friends who are 100% against divorce. I can't stand hypocrites...and this has really jaded my religious faith.

The most ironic part so far is that he TEACHES A DIVORCE CARE CLASS AT HIS CHURCH!!! He actually has been in a position of leadership where he advises people on how to handle a divorce in a GODLY way!!!

To boot...He is 45 and living with a 23 year old who is finishing up Veterinary Med School and I am sure she and her family have no idea what his real story is.

All the women he dated prior to her were were his age not as naive and ended up questioning how he lost his kids (it almost NEVER happens in TX) and when they saw through him they left him so fast there were SKID-MARKS in their wake.

Again, I am being good and not telling anyone that knows him in an attempt to take the high road. Trust me I COULD send a message to his current girlfriend on Facebook, and all her family as well...though it IS tempting, I want to be above that sort of behavior, and keep my intentions and heart in check. It isn't always easy though.

It has just been a nightmare, and has defined and caused a lot of issues for my current marriage since it all started the week before we got married. The attorney's fees alone would pay for 4 years of college at some schools for my son!

I rarely get to vent...I really try to keep a mostly sunny disposition/exterior, and remind myself that it all could be MUCH worse. However, I am only human and every now and then it all bubbles to the surface. Sorry about letting it out here.

I hope this explains things a bit.
