Yes! I grew up in the south and visited NO often. I also worked down there for 6 months and couldn’t get enough of seafood and Cajun cooking.

Short of the seasonings, dinner was 100% local tonight - Berkshire pork shoulder steaks (the Wagyu of pork), corn and green beans. We’re really loving being in an agricultural area.

I've found "live fire" gives a pure smoke. It's catching on again - there is now a BBQ show on Tastemade that is only live fire. The host wears a JC DSSD - what could go wrong?

It’s been too long since I did these - cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers coated with homemade dry rub seasoning ands slow smoked on the grill.

Pulled out the Breitling Avenger Blackbird today and we put together a great pasta dinner from the garden, pantry, and fridge with something nice from the wine cellar. Monday night dinners don’t have to be boring.

I’m no expert on Turkish food, but I’ve had it a couple times in some really good places like Kusadashi, Turkey and a restaurant in a large Turkish community in Germany. When a new Turkish restaurant opened up in our area, we had to check it out and happy to say it didn’t disappoint!

Tonight I grilled tri-tip - started with indirect heat and finished on direct heat. It turned out great IMHO.
