Of all three I consider Carmina to be of better quality but of course they are more costly. Meerimin have had issues with questionable quality from time to time . Not sure that you can call any of these brands very fashion forward however.

You did miss out by not mentioning Gaziano and Girling however. It's an English brand on par with Edward Green but more fashion forward. Unfortunately because it's on par with Edward Green it cost about as much as well.

I would definitely check out Carmina and Enzo Bonafe.

Ah shoot I forgot Enzo.

Good one Russ.

Definitely check them out.

Enzo Bonafe is also sold at Skoaktiebolaget and they definitely has some very nice looking shoes.

I don't own any but that's only because I choose to go with shoes and boots from Edward Green, Gaziano and Girling and St Crispins. Had I chose to purchase from a shoemaker in their price range Enzo would have more than likely been my choice.

Carmina does make some real great shoes and boots.

A bit of good news for me: There was a GMTO being organized on StyleForum not too long ago for some C&J Marlow PTB in whiskey shell. When I saw it, I was too late, but somebody recently dropped out so I was able to join.

I think this GMTO is using the last of the whiskey shell that C&J has for the year so I figured that I couldn't pass up on this.

GMTO Group Made to Order number of participants vary a bit by shoemaker. But all details of what is being ordered have to be the same except length but for most shoemakers this now also includes width. No additional fee because you have the minimum necessary for a GMTO

MTO single made to order Additional fee required because it's a special order.

Group made-to-order. C&J has a made-to-order, but there is an upcharge starting at $250, I believe. If somebody organizes as GMTO (12 people required), there is no upcharge.

I have found that C&J is extremely accommodating in terms of their GMTO program. They're also very easy to work with, friendly and quick to respond to emails.

The same cannot be said for some of our American friends. *cough cough Alden cough cough*

Excellent. Thanks.

I don't know if I'm alone, but I like to match belts to shoes. When I wore cordovan shoes, I always wore a cordovan belt, which I bought from a Store named Harold's. Don't know if they exist still.

I wear different shades of brown gator with brown shoes, and brown suede. And alway black belts with black shoes (usually Hermes belts but not the H belt which my wife owns).

Yes, I like to match my shoes and belts. I have 2 calf belts that pair well with my color 8 and dark brown cordovan shoes. I need to find a belt that works with my new penny loafers as well as a belt that matches my whiskey PTBs that I will be getting HOPEFULLY by the end of the year.

I wouldn't mind a cordovan belt, but they're hard to come by and expensive.

I match belts to shoes as well. And I match belt hardware tone to watch and shoe hardware.

I prefer bridle belts to the lined and raised variety common in your menswear store and buy all mine from Equus. Essentially a made to order shop in England that uses the best quality leathers.

I am contemplating one of their ostrich watch straps for my Explorer now. Here's a link http://www.equusleather.co.uk/watch-...tch-strap.html

The pair I regret most not ordering.

Exactly

There were and there continue to be way too many great options. But I think the Willow from Edward Green is my biggest regret.

One day I hope to have a pair of John Lobb double monkstraps. I've gone the other way lately on shoes. My Ferragamo, Bally, AE, etc. shoes have taken a backseat to comfort.

I've gone all in on the Cole Haan Zerogrand shoes. If you have to be on your feet all day long and still be somewhat appropriate - they are fantastic!
