All in all a pretty productive time. Here are some of the highlights. Some of the things I did include:
Cleaned out the central vac.
Changed the oil in my truck (in the rain).
Assembled my wife's pool chair, inflated the pool toys/floats.
Cleaned the gutters.
Trimmed the shrubs.
Replaced 3 of the screens in the screen house.
My son and I cut down a bunch of overgrowth near the wood pile.
Cut the grass
Drove my son here, there and everywhere. etc. etc.

Since I had been so productive, today I rewarded myself with a motorcycle ride to Colt State Park. in Bristol, RI

It was nice getting out for a bit and finally enjoying a rain-free day.
You definitely earned the outing!!! Great pic, Bill!

I should show you the list of what DIDN'T get done.

The picture was rushed because I had my mini tripod in the street and the timer on my new camera set for 10 seconds.
Now that the work is (mostly) done I wish I had another vacation to relax.

Leo, I told them that if they wanted to drop it off one day soon, I'd see if I could nurse it back to life for them.

I'm leaving now. Who knows what awaits. It's bad enough that they call me at home about work issues...
Into the fire I go.

Had a day off...glorious sunshine...got up early and beat the crowds to the beach...couple of pics...those in my circle will get others emailed as per usual...

My two fave things in the world (not not those two Joe!)

Shcok horror gasp...it's me! Ignore the hair, the rolled up jeans, pale chunky legs and the moobs! Last time I posted beach pics a few requested I get on the lens...now you know why I stay behind it.

I like how this one turned out!

About to head home...somebody has taken my place at the wheel

He IS, isn't he, C! I would like to rush over and hug that guy!

But Jim - why do say William is in YOUR seat? Looks like the passenger seat to me! Oh, we silly Americans!

I love those pictures, Jim. Agreed that the black and white water scene is spectacular - you've captured that sparkle in a very beautiful way.

Jim, Thanx for sharing pictures of your life and family with us. Your wife is beautiful, your son is adorable and you ain't too shabby yourself. Love those pictures from the beach and I've always been partial to black n white photos. Probably has to do with growing up with them as a child!!!

Jim,

Life is good after all. Look at that happy family unit. Fantastic, big lad, did my heart good to see it, after reading your other posts.

You're a millionaire with a beautiful wife and son. And by everything I have read they're pretty darned lucky to have you too.

Mornin' Bill. How was yesterday? It was a holiday here for us....Canada Day, so everything was closed and we just relaxed at home. We usually head to the club for the fireworks etc., but it was raining pretty hard off and on, gray and overcast, damp etc. We opted to stay home and relax. We drank a whole whack of booze, listened to the 102 song Pink Floyd CD my son made for us, and I grilled some steaks and potatoes. All in a good, a pretty darned good night.

Jim, as long as you are happy and have peace and serenity you are a rich man. Watches and other toys are just material objects which can be replaced but a loving wife and beautiful son are priceless. Seeing your son reminds me of when I was younger and our son was young as well. It was a pleasure(still is)to raise him and watch him grow up into a wonderful human being and man. Treasure your time with him now and never take your wife for granted. Make sure you tell her you love her everyday and make time to play with William and tell him you love him everyday. I have loved being a Dad and spouse and wouldn't trade it for anything in this world!!!
Peace my friend.....and stay humble.....
