Just picked up number three. Good grief! Number one, a GMT 116710 was just too nice to want to really wear it all the time. Constantly afraid of scratches, dents and dings. Found a 16710 coke and thought that would be the one I would wear hard. Made the mistake of getting it factory polished. Looked so good that again I lamented the daily wear that occurs. Number three is a well-worn but never polished Explorer II. Looks great with dents and dings. Hopefully this will be my weekend warrior!!

The E II is on my wrist right now, as it has been since I picked it up a week ago. Just put on the leather strap which was laying around. I never cared for this model until recently, and now I can’t get enough of it.

I have two

In 2013 I bought my first one, it was the green Milgauss, then in 2015 I went for the GMT “Batman”. I love both of them.
Now in 2018 Im looking for a Daytona, debating on SS or TT.

I'm a huge fan of rolex watches. I love to wear all the time. Currently I own sea dewller and GMT Master. I bought these two watches online. I love the beauty of the mechanism. I love quirkyness they can portray. I love that a good build looks like a jewel and adds a nice heft on the wrist. I love that I can change the band and transform the look of the watch. It’s a microcosm of technology, and the only “fashion” I bother with.
I love complexity of regulating the mechanism - through an escapement or quartz or even a tuning fork! For mechanicals, I especially love seeing the movement in a full or partial skeletal form.
