And find some of this tape to put over your serial numbers to prevent bracelet rubbing away:

Here is my 2 cents. If you are going to wear it a lot, put it on a new or reconditioned 93150 Fliplock Bracelet. Not a 60 year old rivet with a good chance of coming apart. Or just do the NATO / Strap thing.

My 61 says hello

Bought this one from a guy who owned it since 1967 when he received it as a Bar Mitzvah Gift. never wore it, it sat in his drawer for last 40 years. UNPOLISHED and possibly the nicest one I had ever seen, so I kept it for my own collection. The only Tudor I own..

Thank you guys. When I saw it I had to have it, but if someone hits the Powerball and wants to buy it for crazy money... everything's for sale. That goes for my cars, my house and even my wife :)

Hello, I would like to check if this MN79 is authentic (SN #937484). Anyone with access to a registry could help me with this?

Thanks much

I can't find my list at the moment - no I do not have direct access to the Registre but I know certain serials - there are some in that range.

I am concerned about the bracelet wear. These almost never see a bracelet.

Jerome has the registry IIRC, so if it is in the registry, he would have provided that info. Of course, the service registers only list a fraction of the MN serial numbers, so the best way to authenticate IMO is by using batches.

I'm looking at possibly buying a Tudor 79090 from the early 90's.

From my research it looks like they should have come with a Rolex bracelet 93150. The example I'm looking at has a 9315 Tudor bracelet.

Is this correct? And did this model have the option to come on either Rolex or Tudor bracelet?

TIA

79090 early 90s would ordinarily have a 9315 with a Tudor clasp and Tudor blades, so looks good....

93150 Tudor blade and clasp is mid to late 90s for a 79190 sapphire watch.

Rolex clasp is more akin to earlier Snowflake and first 76100 etc....

* big caveat * dealers fitted whatever they had in the bracelet draw and what you wanted, so anomalies are not uncommon
