It lived up to expectations We tend to be more a Pinot Noir house so it red burgundy rather than Bordeaux for us. We have some 2005 Rieussec which is also pretty useful

Nothing says Easter like a good hot dog and some cheap wine!! It is the 2013 Zach Brown north coast cab. Is really decent for $10 or so.
Happy Easter to everyone!!

Didn't know war to pair with ham tonight. Usually,I prefer a Red Zin,but sadly didn't have one.

This Pinot Noir was excellent!

Their 1927 vines marsanne is fantastic. Highly recommended. One of the best expressions of the grape - new world or old.

Water right now, but....

Villanova just won us another $100+ bottle of 2012 Napa Cabernet in spectacular fashion! The Broncos won the 1st 2012 Napa Cab (Stag's Leap Fay Vineyard) for us with the Super Bowl. We're now 2-0 in a best out of 5 series of bets with an old high school friend. Loser has to fly to the winner's city and bring the booze. At the end of the 5 bet series, we'll have a sweet 2012 Napa Cab horizontal selection to go with a great dinner with old friends. Life is good - win or lose.

That is a win win right there.

We got to do this over eater with some of our very best friends. We met half way between in the smokey mountains and had a great time. Even with the $20 wine it was a fantastic time!!

Just picked up a case of 2013 Clos Du Val Cab. At $25 a bottle I thinks it's one of the best value wines from Napa.

This past Friday. A fantastic 2013 myriad cellars Cabernet Napa valley. Saving the vineyard designate wines from myriad to age some. Mike Smith is a fantastic wine maker and if you can get your hands on some of his Cabernet or Syrah you will be rewarded!

No doubt -- we recently opened up an '07 -- and it was very nice -- and got even better after it sat in the decanter for about 45 minutes.

Good Lord. Just get a Coravin. Or better yet, just cork it and stick it in the fridge…

Well, if you just have to have a gadget for everything… And only want a limited selection of wines…

I wonder if you can get victory year Mouton in that tin can thing.

I've met Mike through a good friend of mine who has worked the past several harvests with Mike and his crew. My friend is learning the trade from Mike until he bottles his own label.

Mike is definitely a superstar amongst Napa winemakers, and I have a good amount of bottles that he was actively involved in. Well done with the Myriad cab! He also makes a solid Sauvignon blanc as well under the Quivet label.
