Surprised that no one mentioned Chester Mox! Or maybe they did and I just missed it in the 75 pages or so in Tapatalk.
Approx 5 years old and still kicking! I hit it with mink oil it once a year or so. No issues to speak of and plenty of comments. Museum Calf #53 if anyone is curious. All things considered, I'm very glad I switched to a compact wallet all those years ago-- less clutter! |

I really wanted to get a Hermes American alligator cardholder, but couldn't justify spending the coin for it, so I got a custom one from Pierpont Leather for less than half the price.
It was designed to my specs (size, one pocket on each side with center slot). I picked out the leathers and thread as well. It's fully lined with lime colored Chevre Mysore. I'm thrilled with it!

Picked this one up recently. Pretty rustic bit I like it.

Just picked up my first LV wallet. I hope it holds up well. Never realized how well the LV blue matches the BLNR.

I switched to John Allen Woodward a couple years ago and had several more belts and a couple wallets made. His products are probably a step above Flemings but a bit more rustic. Amazing quality! |

My FLP Wallet has not held up very well and honestly hasn’t seen heavy use. I have used it for about 2 weeks at a time in rotation with 2 other wallets and it’s already coming apart at the edge near the fold. I can’t recommend.

Sorry to hear that G. I was planning to contact FLP tomorrow but not too sure now. Do you plan on reaching out to their customer service?

I had to have a wallet replaced by FLP because it fell apart. They sent me a new one without a hassle.

That is strange. My FLP is the only wallet I have used for over a year every day and it still looks perfect. It is always over Stuffed as well. Sorry to hear that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My FLP has held up better than my LV and my Goyard.

As you can see it’s showing wear at both ends. This is something I see on LV wallets but not for a good two full plus years of wear daily.
Also not fond of how the money holder side shows wear already. Goyard and LV are just more sturdy in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing. That’s really poor performance for the prices FLP charges. LV epi, Prada saffiano, etc wear much better than that.

Literally this wallet has been over stuffed and used everyday for almost a year. Here are the pics showing it’s performance:

Kevin, yours seems to have the same issue as mine around the binding area. It’s no big deal but not what I expect at this price point.
They are replacing my wallet.

A year is not very long for a wallet, IMO. I can go get a cheapie from Coach or Tumi to last longer than that. Kevin, I hope your FLP is still making you happy 5 or 7 years from now. :-)

I love the design, but I won’t be buying one of these after all. They should do much better than that. I’m going to guess inferior materials, but I don’t know. I do know that my LV is packed fat and looks brand new a year later with daily use. |

I think the wear on any wallet is going to be different based on how much crap you stuff into it, how often you pull stuff out or put stuff in and honestly where you carry the wallet. If it's in your back pocket your weight will also impact the creasing and fold area. The FLP is a softer material than my Goyard and LV so it seems to be holding up better at the crease area where the wallet folds in half but evidently YMMV based on all the comments above.

Must say though even now any folding wallet in canvas does start to fail on the fold, had a few issues with LV hence why I now stick with card holders as these tend to last so much longer.
