Hello to all and hope you are having a great weekend.
Nancy, good luck with the shower and washed curtains!!!
Lisa, you never know he might surprise you and actually get what's on the list and not anything more. And I'm sure he will come home with the correct offspring!!!
Bill, please tell your son that even if he's not feeling thirsty, he should still drink fluids during sports activities. Because if you wait till you feel thirsty it's too late and you are already dehydrated!!!

Leo, he did a great job shopping. Everyone returned happy and whole. And he bought fresh raspberries, blackberries, plums, grapes.... and even a jicama! I'm stunned into happy disbelief!

Lucky you, I usually do the grocery shopping and always stick to my list and never go overboard. Grocery stores usually love it when men go shopping because they are the impulse buyers. Also the psychology of buying is such that they put impulse items at eye level and use colors such as blue and red to catch the eye of male shoppers!!!

Aw... but - but - how'd you know about the jicama? Did my daughter tell you?

Did you spot him in the magazine section, with the latest issue of "Guitar World" pressed up against his nose? And where there two children parked in front of the bakery, eating cookies from the self-service bins?

Anyway, he's earned himself a solo jaunt to Starbucks - and he's even bringing home a pound ground for espresso, just like we like it.

Hmmm... there's only one explanation for this cheerful and energetic behaviour of late - he must have a girlfriend!

Wow! I read ahead and was delightfully surprised to see that it all went well! I sent Al to the store once with a list of about 6 items on it. It went something like this........not wanting to confuse him, I clarified that he only had to pick up 6 items, so I numbered them. The first thing he did was get one of item number 1, two of item number 2, three of item number 3 etc. On the list, I had asked for a juice I like called Ruby Red Grapefruit. I'd also asked for tomatoes. I'd run out of room on the paper so just added the word tomatoes beside the juice. He came back from the store with the multiples of the other items, and said..."They had nothing there called Ruby Red Grapefruit Tomatoes. I asked one of the clerks to help me and HE couldn't find them either."

Let me give you an even better tip. You mention my name and the words retirement home in the same post again and I'm gonna pay Steve to ban your sorry butt.

I just want to leave this joke open for Joe, whenever he gets back. Rather than comment on all the jobs and nice gestures that I do but don't get laid off, I'll just let Joe take this and run with it. He'll do a much better job with it than I.

Mornin' all! Hope everyone's Saturday was good. Obviously Lisa, yours was outstanding. That's a real milestone.

Bill......I hope Ethan is feeling better??

The shower was a huge success despite the wicked never-ending thunderstorms we had all afternoon which had several guests trapped in traffic at times because of flooding and road closures. I had to keep running outside with my umbrella to help the guests get into the house. It certainly added some excitement to the event! Al arrived home in the middle of the party, heard about 10 seconds of the wild hootin' and hollering all the women were doing, and hastily retreated to the downstairs family room with his beer and chips.

Bah...you women give us guys a bad name. I do nearly all our food grocery shopping.

I can't be doing with buying cleaning agents etc though especially god forbid sanitary lady thingys or toilet rolls.

A big, fat, effeminate queen buying sanitary towels and bumper packs of loo roll always raises a few eyebrows!!!!!!
