I'm moving the wine inventory to an online database today. Bottom boxes and top right shelves in the first picture are done, top left in the 1st and the whole second and 3rd photos still left to enter.
I think I need a drink!

Beautiful wine cellar! I moved mine to Cellar Tracker a few months ago. It is not a fun project. Here is one wall of mine.

Very elegant! Your's looks a lot more spacious. I wanted to make mine bigger but would have had to move drain lines and HVAC and I decided against it. I chose Cellar Tracker this time too. With the new iPhone app to read the wines that have bar codes, I've already entered 88 wines (208 bottles) in 2 hours.

Simply...The Wine Thread
Well, it took about 4 or 5 hours to enter 197 different wines into the Cellar Tracker app, which is about 25% of the time it took me to load everything years ago on the PC based database. Now I'm enjoying the fruits (pun intended) of my labor.

I have used this app some I started buying wine. Works well to not buy the same thing over and over to try it out. Or to keep notes on ones we have tried so we can buy again or avoid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's a good one. I like about everything they make. We drink a fair amount of merlot. I am just glad it has not come back into vogue again because there are some great wines out there at great values compared to cabs. We are going to one of those wine tastings in a box at a friends house tomorrow. But for tonight it is this. Maybe we better find some help????? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Simply...The Wine Thread
As I mentioned before I am a Cab Guy and the Wife like the Merlot. This is one of the Cabs I like and since we placed a reload order today I figured we better drink one tonight!
Flora Springs ~ 2012 Windfall Merlot 2012 was a vintage for the record books in Napa Valley, with a near perfect growing season that featured warm days, cool evenings and no heat spikes or rain events to speak of. Across Napa Valley this ongoing ideal weather pattern resulted in normal bud break, even flowering and fruit set, and a long stretch of warm days and cool evenings that allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. The fruit from the 2012 harvest was simply exceptional, and even in the fermenter our 2012 Windfall Merlot was deep, dark and richly fruited. In the bottle, this highly concentrated wine is still brimming with dark fruit flavors of blackberry, blueberry and cassis, with notes of licorice and anise adding to the complexity. Flavors of coffee, milk chocolate and cedar are also in the mix, and the wine’s tannins are ripe and smooth, leaving an overall impression of warmth and lushness. All the Facts Appellation: Rutherford, Napa Valley Varietal: 100% Merlot Cases Produced: 275 Price: $85/bottle on SALE Now for $50 /bottle Aging: 16 months in a combination of one and two-year old French oak barrels Enjoyability: Drink now or cellar. Pull the cork now until 2023 for optimum enjoyment. I Highly Recommend this Wine at this Price!!!

Hope you are feeling fine today! The wife and I did 2 1/2 bottles last night between cooking, dinner and a movie and I'm feeling it this morning - drinking water and coffee to rehydrate and wake up. I hope I'm feeling normal again in the next 90 minutes since we are heading out on a bike ride that has quite of bit of climbing on it - ugh, why did I open that 3rd bottle?

Haha! I was feeling it early but I am much better now. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your outlook, we have a dinner tonight where we will have to do this again. We definitely opened one too many last night, tonight could be worst!

Simply...The Wine Thread
I'm still hurting from the wine but now my body is exhausted too. Errands are done so now it's time for some hair of the dog that bit me. To get back on topic, this is the dog and it's a tasty $15 Pinot Noir from St Lucia Highlands.
