Mornin' Bill. Trying to suck back the coffee and shake the cobwebs out here. We had a great time yesterday, although we got stuck in a sloooooow traffic place for a while on the way which changed the 2 hour drive into a 2-1/2 hour one. Lots of fun though. There were so many kids under 5 I felt like I was partying at a daycare facility. Pics later.

Mornin' Nancy,
yesterday we had a baseball game and then my son had some of his friends over to swim and play "manhunt". I lit the chiminea for them to make s'mores and bought pizza and generally left them alone. They played volleyball and hungout in the screen house. I like having a bunch of kids running around. It's such a kick to listen to them talk.
Well, I'm off to another baseball game. Catch you all later.

Caroline, there are a couple of porta-pottys along the route if you do need to go but I usually sweat so much that I must take in plenty of fluids to not dehydrate!!!

Lisa, when I bike I drink like crazy and always sweat out what I drink unless it is very cold outside!!!
For fluids I usually take two to three bottles of Propel out with me and on a hot day I fill them back up with water.....

Well, we're off to a 50th birthday event. Al has worked all day helping a friend with renovation work on his house, and I've continued my relentless "purging" binge. I've got to start letting go of things. I finally cleaned out my mother's purse and put it in a donation bag. I had a good cry while doing it, but I guess 21 years was long enough to hold onto it. Found an amazing newspaper clipping in it though so I'm glad I went through every paper so carefully.

Tough stuff. This party is perfectly timed.

Well I trust everyone had a good day. I just got back from my second bicycle ride of the day and had a grand total of 51 miles for the day!!!

Nancy, I know it's hard to go through your parents belongings and make the decision to let go. My Mom died almost two years ago and it fell on my wife and I to go through her things and donate them to the second hand shop that she volunteered at!!!

Oh, Nancy - that must have been so sad. You'll always have the memories of your mom no matter what.

Hope the party brings you some cheer!

My mother lived with us for 21 years, Leo. She had a massive heart attack one morning in her bedroom while getting dressed for the day. She was the kindest, most gentle woman I've ever known in my life. I still miss her like crazy after all these years.
